When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

thanks for your post, liv. i
thanks for your post, liv. i have mentioned to my PT a number of times that my cystocele feels better when i skip my kegels for a few days, but she insists that it's not possible! i am wondering now whether to stop kegels completely, but i worry that my prolapse might get worse if i do. (I'm 7 months postpartum)

When I first came here I knew literally nothing about my female body. I did Kegels b/c this is what you do when you have POP, right?
I started to read all the posts here and the STWW book and I had to realize that Christine's opinion makes total sense to me.First no matter how strong your PF muscles and sphincters are, those won't protect you from POP.
And on the other hand, just standing in WW posture tones your pelvic floor. The ballet workout tones those PF muscles better than the strongest Kegel you can do while passively laying on your back.
So I did not stop using those muscles but I use them "properly" now, at least this is how I feel. There was a thread a while ago about how walking in WW posture narrows the pelvic outlet by narrowing the space between the ischiac spines. This movement pulls everything towards its right space.
Makes much more sense than those stupid Kegels. lol
