The strangest thing

Body:

The strangest thing has happened to me over the past 8 days. I have been waiting for my 2nd period to come since the birth of my daughter 16 months ago. I was dreading it as last month the week before it came, and the 5 days I had it, were TERRIBLE. I was in agony. However, these past 8 days I have felt the best I have felt since I had the baby and all my organs fell out. I had almost no pain, no spasms, no cramps, etc. I really didn't even have any pulling sensation. This all amazes me because we are in the process of moving to our new home and I have been doing some very heavy work. This morning my period actually started and it feels like it always used to. It's just uncomfortable(mild cramps, etc). I am so happy and hopeful.

I just wanted to post some good news for once because I have posted so many times about the pain I was in. I doubt it is gone for good but now I have hope and that is a wonderful thing. This has been a very welcome break from the pain/worry cycle that seems to accompany POP.

Blessings,
Kaismom

chronic pain can wear you out can't it? and it seems like you never know just how much until you don't hurt- even if it is just for a few hours- relief is bliss.
I say take it where you can find it :) I am so happy for you.

So glad to hear some positive news! I hope everything keeps on this way! I found my POP survived our move well too! I'll keep you in my thoughts - sending more painfree vibes your way!

I posted a couple weeks ago about starting my period for the first time since the baby was born. It was pure hell but after 3 or 4 days the symptoms eased up. In the last 10 days I'd say I have felt better than I have in the last year....Im not sure whether to contribute this to the fact that my estrogen has gone back up or I am coming up on a year and that is when a lot of woman start to see a huge improvement just because. Then again I was in such agony while I was on my period that when it went a way I felt so much relief and it really put things in perspective so it could just all be in my head! but either way I feel better and almost like I have no prolapse at all....I went for my yearly a few days ago and the dr. said he couldnt feel much of a prolapse and to just give it time it could stay this way for a while before changing anymore. Of course he was checking me laying down and I sometimes have symptoms of prolapse even when things seem to be high up....I asked him why i couldnt reach my cervix and he said my uterus was high up and tilted forward...I said thats a good thing right? and he said yes thats *fine* as if it wasnt ideal but still ok??? that confused me but whatever.... atleast I know it hasnt fallen behind the vagina like I thought it had. Oh and for an update on the small lump I found in my groin area..some might remember me posting about this...he said it is a lympnode and if it doesnt go away in a couple months then I should see another dr. about it but he didnt think it was anything to be worried about at this point. I told him about firebreathing and he was very interested in it....he said it sounds like Im doing the right things for the prolapse.
