Still breathing = : )

Body:

Well, I did it!!!
I finally dragged myself into my doctor for a physical. This was my first time back since the spring of 2007, shortly before my prolapse dove to it's 3rd degree. I know my accomplishment today seems quite small compared to what all you brave whole women face regularly, but getting back "in the saddle" (stupid stirrups ;p ) really was a huge psychological step for me. I now know that my doctor is not uncomfortable with what has befallen me as I had once mistakenly(?) perceived, and that she is on board with my decision to not go the surgical-repair route. Anyway, I can breathe now (having held my breath in anticipation) and my insurance company, who's 'mandate' got me in there, is once again held at bay from bugging me. I just wanted to share that I survived (...and that I can hold my breath with the best of them! *grin* = : )

Here's to a smooth rest of the week, gals - Make it a great one!

Stand tall -Love to all!

Hi Blue :)

A successful partnership between women and their doctors is always music to our ears.

Hopefully you sent her to the WWVillage!

I am going to come to Louise's Menopause Party just as soon as I can come up for breath. See you there!

I'm sorry, though, I was so totally anxious about getting myself in there that selfishly, I didn't end up sharing the WWVillage URL with her : ( When she brought up the idea of doing Kegals, I started talking about your WW-posture that I have adopted and how I rely on it to make the pelvic floor taut, and ...that's when she said, "Oh, you do exercises", as she jotted a note in my file...The subject was then quickly changed to my needing blood work and weight-loss, and.... I should be somewhat more at ease next time and I will definitely point my doctor in the direction of WWVillage!

Take care, busy-one. Thank you for all you do.

Ooohh! You are so bwave! I am so pwoud of you!

Isn't is funny how we can get ourselves into all sorts of fear-ful situations just by assuming the wrong thing about people?

Louise

I am still not able to do it, so kudos to you, you are brave!
