Uterus prolapse and bleeding

Body:

Hello. I have severe uterine prolapse with a fibroid coming through the cervix. It usually stays inside, but sometimes I do something stupid like weeding the garden while bending over and the uterus literally falls out. I see the entire uterus (not the ovaries) with the fibroid coming through (when I go back inside the house for some privacy, by the way). Well, it "fell out" on August 9th. I pushed it back in myself. The next day the "area" was swollen and I had really bad gas pains. The 11th the swelling and gas was gone, but it started bleeding and its been bleeding ever since. Today is the 26th so that makes 24 days! Not gushing, but a slight bleeding that fills a pad a day. The few times this has happened in the past, the bleeding stopped from 3 to 5 days after. This is the first time it has gone on this long.

My question is, has anybody else had this happen and will the bleeding ever stop? It already caused a UTI which was treated. I'm afraid I'll get another one. I have no insurance so I'm hoping it will stop on its own. Any answers?

Maybelle, I do hope you will get help with this. You talked about a fibroid clinic you were going to try to gain access to months ago. You are three years post-menopause and the bleeding and mass are a concern. One clear biopsy is hopeful, but you need further diagnostics.

I bled for a whole month, but was perimenopausal and my periods were very erratic. I believe fibroids, like polyps, can be passed, but we do not yet have knowledge of how to bring about such an occurrence.

I would love to work with you on keeping your uterus inside once you get the fibroid issue settled.

((((hugs))))
