When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

Welcome Goobug
Oooo, more about sex. Just up my alleyway.
(Thinks, "Just like a hand in a glove") Do I need to say more?
Penetrative sex seems to have unanimous support here, as a good way of getting your vagina back into position and taking your bladder and uterus with it. Too tired at the moment to explain fully, but I explained it to Squeak a couple of days ago, in response to one of her posts. Will try and revisit this topic tomorrow.

Thank you Louise
I appreciate that you have so much knowledge and you share it! :) I have been worried that sex would make it worse, weaken the muscle more from the nature of sex altho I would think kegles during sex would make things stronger? Confusion! Lol I am almost 3 weeks pp right now and don't plan on having any obviously for at least 3 more weeks on the DR's ok but am curious ;)
On another note: I think I have seen people say the cystocele gets worse before it gets better? What exactly is worse? Pain or dropping more? Or something else? Thank you! :)

Love making and rectocele
Hi Louise (and any one else with an interest in this),
Does the same apply to rectocele or not (please say it does!) Sadly libido has bee affected by bowel probs and rectocele - we have made love a few times since it happened but no-where near the usual frequency. It feels ok and was much better last time than the first couple of times. I think we are both nervous about the whole thing - hubby worried about hurting me and me just worried. If I know it can't make things worse that would help - any advice??

sex worsening rectocele?
If the thrusting is in the right direction (towards the back) it is going to push your rectum up. If the thrusting is forwards it might do the opposite. Hang it, maybe thrusting is thrusting, and anything that lines up your vagina is going to improve POP?
I think you will work that out as you go along. I doubt that you can do any damage. I don't think we have done any damage, and we have been practising for over 30 years! A penis is just a penis, after all, doing the job it was designed to do.
Please report back. We are all eyes and ears!!! That sounded a bit dodgy. Sorry, but it all adds to our shared knowledge if you are happy to report your findings.

Rectocele and the thrust!
Hi Louise,
Well last night was very good and felt ok during and after. For us it is always hubby from behind (or very occasionally me on top). It is the only way it works for us (and it really works!!). I've been trying to visualise angles and thrust with the way we do it and having difficulty working it out. All I know is that as long as we relax don't worry about it everything seems to be as good as it was before rectocele-wise. Lets hope nothing bursts my baloon and spoils the party 'cos its nice to have something going alright at the moment!

about getting worse
In my case not just cysto, I have all three going dooooooooown ; ) (can you believe I'm getting able to joke about this?) Anyway, in my case it's been a pretty sudden lower drop of everything, and a vague ache that used to come occasionally now comes more often, and there is more discomfort since I'm now dropped far enough that I really feel it all the time, and really, really have to make sure my clothes are comfy. But I think it will also depend where you are starting from. Beyond that, I'm a newbie, so I really cant say...
But I haven't seen much about pain, and that doesn't seem to be a major feature?

bursting your balloon
Well, Pollyanna, I don't think sex is going to burst your balloon. It sounds like you have worked out what is working for both of you. That's great!
It is a bit of a head shift finding out that you have POP, and hearing all sorts of horror stories, then discovering, to the contrary, that there are some enjoyable activities that are just as enjoyable with POP. It is even more of a blast when you start working out how you can do almost anything you did before, with a little tweak here and there!!! It just takes time and some ingenuity to get sorted out.

Hey Goobug
Quick pop in to say: if you feel up to sex at 3 weeks pp and you don't have any birth injury- go for it. Has your pp bleeding stopped? If not then maybe nonpenetrative sex would be the way to go.
Listen to your body regarding the amount :)
you can get too much of a good thing
