Jade Eggs

Body:

Hello, Whole Women Villagers!

Does anyone have experience with Jade Eggs? I recently became aware of them in the book, The Multi-Orgasmic Woman: Discover Your Full Desire, Pleasure, and Vitality, by Mantak Chia and Rachel Carlton Abrams.

According to the info in the book, Jade Eggs are used to tone the vaginal walls, and to increase the flow of chi energy in all of the pelvic organs in and aroung the vagina, by inserting one [or more] into one's vagina and contracting one's vaginal muscles to move the Egg up and down the vagina...

Does anyone have suggestions about where to buy them?

Thanks!

Wise Woman

Sounds harder than nauli!

i have heard great things about jade eggs and plan to buy some myself.
and no, i am not affiliated with this site.

there is also lots of info on youtube.
i'd be interested in hearing more about your experience.

I have become interested in them too. I went to a Tantra Workshop last weekend. Learning to use them is in the next workshop. If they really do have 2000 years of history there may be something to it. Watch this space.

Isn't this kinda like kegeling? OK for your sex life but not exactly good for prolapse? - Surviving

This is what I am hoping to find out. I strongly suspect there is more to it than that, and I am prepared to put my Whole Woman knowledge to work to tweek the techniques where necessary to get the best of both worlds. I think I know enough about my own body now to do this.

Meet Louise, the indefatiguable human guinea pig - ta- daa!

Don't worry. I am not going to spend the rest of my life with a large stone egg in my yoni. It is a very gradual process. I have a good (and very inspiring) teacher.

Speaking of toning the vaginal walls, did anyone else see this: http://www.counselheal.com/articles/4276/20130308/russian-gymnast-worlds-strongest-vagina.htm?!

Really?? This is really something! What are we to learn from it!?!?

Yes, I did see it! Wowsers! As Inspector Gadget would exclaim. I call it the Kompetitive Kegels. I wonder if pumping more iron with her pleasure machine is her aim, or if she has a more pleasure-oriented motive? Perhaps she just like being on Youtube? I wonder if men are just a teensy bit scared of her?

But, seriously! What makes her vaginal muscles that strong? Did she start with an unusually tight or small spaced vagina, or did she build it up that way? I just can't wrap my head around this one.
Maybe I am just over thinking it... Lol!

Perhaps she had it reinforced with stainless steel mesh?

BTW, doctors don't seem to be too concerned about damaging male tissue that has a role in sexual stimulation and enjoyment. I believe that the inside surface of the foreskin that is cut off during circumcision is rich in nerve supply. Left on the erect penis it stretches out and is directly in contact with the vagina. To circumcise a male is to remove erogenous tissue and thicken the glans penis so it is less sensitive. The uncircumcised glans is quite soft and very sensitive because it is covered and protected by the foreskin most of the time. Because the foreskin is 'too long' for the penis its skin moves on the shaft of the penis during coitus, thus reducing the rubbing on the the vaginal walls. Isn't God clever?

This post is *not* a rant about the evils of circumcision. I am just illustrating that there is nothing new about doctors removing the enjoyment bits for various reasons. I certainly wouldn't assume anything about a surgeon attempting to preserve sexually responsive tissue during pelvic repair surgery. This is an area that every woman and her partner need to discuss with the potential surgeon before making their decision to have repair surgery.

I don't know whether doctors point out the sexual sensitivity of the tissue of the foreskin to the parents of baby boys before they are circumcised or not.

Perhaps everyone feels a bit icky about circumcision, and nobody wants to talk about it at the time?

Oh sorry, Wisewoman. I got a bit excited and forgot about your initial question. I am sure you would be able to buy them at sex shops. There are now some great non-sleazy sex shops, some for women only. There is one in Albuquerque, called Self Serve. Molly Adler, one of the owners, was on the Sex Panel at the first Whole Woman Conference last year. I would recommend Molly as a good person to initially talk to about jade eggs, Say hi for me.

You can also buy them online but from what I have learned it is good to have someone teach you how to use them, rather than just relying on the instructions in the box. There is a lot of culture/religion surrounding their history. They have been a part of Tao for a very, very long time. They are not just a sex toy, and they are not just a Kegel Aid. Their use is an integral part of modern western Tantra.

I would check out Tantra practitioners in your area or sex shops that look inviting. $50 seems to be a lot to pay for an egg-shaped rock. Somebody seems to be laughing all the way to the Bank.

There is not a great secondhand market for them. ;-) They do deteriorate over time and supposedly they collect bad energy from the vagina, go black, and need replacing.
