Exercises

Body:

Okay. I have POP and it is not going to magically disappear. I am not able to jet over to New Mexico to see Christine. I know there is a DVD, but the way our house is laid out, I will be exercising in the living room. Can some one give me a list of a POP Workout that maybe takes 10 minutes? I realize that a good hour workout it best, but this is the real world and I think I could be more good with a regular 10 minutes consistently than an hour here and there. I used to do the exercises on the computer, but they have gone away, I guess. I am trying hard to remember the sequence, but not doing a very good job. I remember lots of poses that resemble ballet, which is great! I can make believe I am young and slender and graceful! Perhaps I will become the way I think, DUH! Good luck to all of you. We are in a secret club and we did not even ask to be here!

I just ordered the yoga DVD and I do not even have a place to play it. Is that positive thinking or what? I remember a 12 step quote...."If it's to be, it's up to me!" I am going to get better of this POP!

to be honest, I was doing very little in terms of exercise. just some firebreathing and nauli twice a day and a couple of plies here and there. and even with just that, I saw pretty significant improvement.
just got the yoga dvd and I have high hopes of doing the whole thing but like you, will be exercising in the family room and realistically dont know how much time I will have..

want to make a date to do it together? maybe if I know someone else is counting on me to make the time I will... (no pressure!)

Hi Meribelle, have you checked out Wholewomaninc channel on Youtube? There are some sizeable excerpts on these videoclips. You might be able to find a copy of edition 2 of Saving the Whole Woman in the public library system. This has the ballet workout in it.

I had so many revelations yesterday. Two, I think. One is that this computer plays DVDs. I am 63 and not fully a computer nerd. I never thought that I could play a DVD on a computer! DUH. Now I know I can play the DVD in here (which is a toy room for our grandson when he comes over and also my computer room). I am so excited. Thank you, hubby, for explaining it to me.

Also, I remembered yesterday that in the Bible it says, "Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only." That thought totally relates to me. I read and read about exercises but I do not do them. All the head knowledge in the world will not fix my POP. I am trying to remember some of the exercises and postures I did when Christine used to have the exercise video on her site. Oh, those were the days. But I did not know about the u-tube (spelled it wrong) videos and I had totally forgotten about nauli.

I am also re-reading the WW book. It has so much information. If a horse can tighten her muscles when she stands up and her girl parts do not fall out, then we should be able to strengthen our muscles down there so that our girl parts do not fall out. Right? It seems to be a matter of finding out what strengthens those muscles and then DOING it! Well, I have to go to work now... See ya. Thanks for the replies to this post!
