A little holiday diversion

Body:

Hi dear Whole Women,

Thought you might enjoy seeing our doll collection that we put in the WWC window at this time of year. I bought the male Scottish doll from an incredible doll maker from Kansas for my daughter when she was a little girl. He was so adorable, but we thought he needed a mate, so a few months later I ordered his wife. As you can see, it became a hobby for many years thereafter. They are part of the family now and it's so much fun to take them out of storage, dust them off, and create a magical window scene for passerby's at Christmas.

Enjoy!

Very lovely Christine.....and I heard you were having some crazy weather out your way? Aiming for a white Christmas maybe?

It's ma and pa ingalls :)

That display is just delightful.

And here's a little fun, educational moment...

My daughter and I got to be guides this year at our neighborhood's annual Dickens Dinner where five-courses of beautiful food (persimmon pudding!) are served in five different Victorian homes in this historic district.

My husband snapped a picture of us on our way out the door and when I saw it I realized how WW posture has just become who I am at this point (unless I'm exhausted and slumped into bed to work - which happens!). My DD, however, is not quite there. Sometimes she is beautifully pulled into it and sometimes she reverts back to her "fiddle stance" (she is a long-time fiddle player). We will have to work on that! It's interesting to see (kinda hard through all the layers of costumes) the subtle differences - her hips are jutting out (and her knees probably hyperextended) while my torso is set firmly over my hip joints by way of my lumbar curve.

Hi Wholewoman and Surviving 60.I will try to download Louised's Bookmark as i would put some in the library and keep one for myself.I could give one to my daughter too.I have a swollen foot again but only a bit and my lump but no one would know.My husband is not too well either. He was prescribed the wrong antibiotics for two weeks and is still not well with diverticulitis. My lump comes and goes.I need to lose about 5 kilos which is over 10lbs but i am feeling ok.We eat vegetetarian and have for years except for some fish.I will see you later as i have to post some photos to my friend Clare at an animal refuge. She is the cat carer at the refuge. They have beautiful dogs and cats. That is i lovely photo of you and your daughter Christine.I sent my daughter a nice photo of a dress that would look nice on her.

Poor little Nikelle. I do hope the Consumption won't take her! The poor wee lassie looks cold.

Not the same Nikelle I have seen pictures of. Oh Mum, how could you!!!

BTW, our Wednesday jamming group is learning My Bonnie Moorhen. One of our gentlemen singers is Scottish.
