When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

Dear justbeachy,
Sorry to hear you most likely have prolapse problems. Glad to hear you ordered Christine's book and videos. My prolapse was diagnosed about 2years ago. Although in hindsight I was probably having some issues before that. I've always had a "tipped uterus". Turns out that is a stage l prolapse. I also had some bladder issues and they also were probably related to the prolapse. My symptoms improved a lot from using the posture and exercises. It will take a lot of time. However, change does come. Good luck to you and stay in touch. Thanks for the shoulder blades tip.

Bad Pessary Experience
Hi, found the Gellhorn Pessary very uncomfortable and could not completely empty my bladder with it in. The Gyn removed it and gave me a ring with support pessary, same size, that does not stay in. I have a moderate cystocele/rectocele. Looking for a different Pessary. Any thoughts?

Pessary suggestion
Hi Berkshiregirl. It has always been my understanding that pessaries don’t do much for rectocele…… even worse, that they can cause or aggravate one. Do you have your uterus? If so, learning Whole Woman posture should give you decent results without risking further damage. I have both those ‘celes and have never considered a pessary; two years with WW and I’m happy as can be. If your mind is set on a pessary, use the search feature to look for discussions, and maybe you’ll get some more ideas.

pessary for rectocele
Surviving is right. Rectoceles are usually pretty low in the vagina unless the woman has had repair surgery, whereas cystoceles tend to be higher up in the vagina. That's probably why your new one is falling out. It has to be low to be useful in any way, but if it is low it is more prone to falling out.
I would suggest that you learn to firebreath and nauli, which will help to pull your colon and rectum up out of your pelvic cavity and into the front of your abdominal cavity. Remember to allow your belly to relax, to give all your innards a forward position to move into. And remember to breath with your diaphragm, which will push your innards down and forward with every inhalation.
This might give you more of a cystocele, but the pessary will probably help with that. Hopefully you will eventually be able to give the pessary a miss altogether, but it always nice to have it on hand, as the ace up your sleeve.

Prolapses/Pessary
I had my yearly gyn appt this last March & another appt last week to ck on this little buldge. She said "What's happened - I just saw you?" I explained by pretty long exhausting stay with my mother after open heart surgery - standing up long hours, working, cleaning, etc.. Then she asked if I had any big baby deliveries. I had 2 children, now 43 & 42 yrs old that weighed exactly the same, 7 lbs 10 oz. The 1st baby was born breach (bottom 1st) = very lg baby. She sd that was the beginning of my problem & stated that I had rectocele, cystocele and uterine prolapses & that the only cure was for a vaginal hysterectomy removing the uterus.......I am stilled stunned & speechless. She fitted my with a pessary & scheduled me for a pelvic sonogram to see if I had a cyst on my ovaries causing the pelvic organs to be pushed down. I had the sonogram - no cyst = great news. I've recd. Christine's book and DVD & am much relieved to know that I will NOT have to have surgery after watching, reading & practicing WW posture, & firebreathing. Not only am I standing in good posture but also sitting in WW posture is most beneficial. I am elated!!! I have a follow-up appt the 12th of this month with my gyn but don't think I'll discuss anything I've learned just yet. I just want to hear what she has to say this time around. I'll probably be getting another opinion from my Internist as I have a yearly appt with him in a few weeks & he doesn't do surgery...

Justbeachy, thanks for the
Justbeachy, thanks for the update. We are soooo glad you found WW when you did. More doctors need to hear about it from their patients, so if you feel inclined to bring it up at your appointment, go for it! Just be prepared for blank stares, or maybe polite nods.......Surviving
