Poem I wrote about being a mom and a woman.....

Body:

We are women
Working hard every day

Doing all of the giving
Helping others along the way

Despite the problems that come from inside
We never have time to complain

With our family we must guide
Trying hard to hide our own pain

Our bodies are such a mess
But on we must go

Doing what we feel is best
And always shining from that womanly glow

What would they do without us?
What would others do?

Making such a fuss,
I guess it takes a mother to make that special glue.

Mending a bruised knee
Or perhaps you're sicker then a bug

Where would you be,
If a mother didn't give you her very own special hug?

Our bodies are falling apart
From childbirth or wear and tear

Love your mother with all of your heart
Let her know how much you care.

Ally 2006

Such a sweet poem, Ally...I hope you'll keep writing, keep creating a healthy, strong self, and by this time next year be able to tell us what a blessing it is to have a self-healing female body that only needed you to support it! Hugs, Christine.

Couldn't have said it better. It is so true and that is why having children has truly made me appreciate my mother that much more. I think that is why my mom use to say that there are some things that only a daughter can understand.

Thanks for sharing that with us Ally!
