When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Same principle, inhaling as
Same principle, inhaling as you expand the belly and exhaling as you pull navel to spine. The difference is in body position and intensity, as you are creating a vaccuum in firebreathing which can really move the organs. - Surviving

So can that same intensity
So can that same intensity and vacuum be done on the hands and knees until I learn to do it in the other body position. I'm having a hard time actually lowering my stomach in the standing position and breathing as deeply as I seem to be able to do pretty easily on my hands and knees. Or can the stomach not be lowered as much in the standing position as the hands and knees position and I shouldn't be comparing the two? Look forward to accomplishing it as that position is way more practical when I am not at home! Thanks for being here for me. I am so glad I found this sight. I'm surviving 60 too (+ 1).

Absolutely! I did it on
Absolutely! I did it on hands and knees while learning, because my hands kept slipping off my thighs and it was too much to think about. And still do it that way sometimes. Whatever works for you. Getting the breathing sequence correct is the really important thing. (Yeah, I'm actually +3 at this point.....)

position for firebreathing
Due to my very bad knees, I am unable to do the hands and knees position at all. Even if I wear professional knee pads, it's too painful. So I do all the firebreathing standing up. In fact, I am unable to do any of the lying down, squatting, or kneeling yoga exercises on the DVDs, so I do my own version of everything by just doing what Christine does only I stand up instead. I gather from your conversation above that stand is better for firebreathing anyway. Am I right?

Hi kickin' - when standing,
Hi kickin' - when standing, can you bend forward from the hips, and place your hands on your thighs? This is going to be easier if your knees are bent a little - if you are able to do that. If not, then whatever position you can use that is comfortable, go for it. The important things are the breathing sequence, being forward enough to give your organs room in the lower belly, and getting that lumbar curvature when you are inhaling. Keep working and be gentle on yourself! - Surviving

Hi Everyone
I am new here and am wondering with regard to the breathing and other yoga/posture exercises if there is a way to get a really good discription of what to do? I am totally blind and don't think I am getting the whole benefit of the videos. Thanks!

Tree Woman, how exactly do
Tree Woman, how exactly do you use this forum and website? I'm aware there are various assistive technologies or perhaps you simply have a seeing helper? Not trying to get too personal here, just wondering how best you can obtain and utilize the information offered here. I think you'd be a great candidate for a personal consult with Christine or another practitioner, to get you going. - Surviving

assistive technology
Hi Surviving, I use Jaws for Windows and it does a fantastic job reading the information on the site. I can also listen to the videos and that has definitely been helpful. How much does it cost to talk with Christine? I live in California so I can't see her in person, but I did have the idea last night that I could skype with her so that she could see what I was doing and tell me if I need adjustments to posture and such. Has she done this before? I am currently an incredibly isolated grad student and can only afford 3 hours of sighted assistance a week which barely gets me by with basic needs, plus there is the embarrassing, don't want any friends to ditch me because they have to watch prolapse videos with me and know I have a problem wfear of asking someone to help for free. I really don't have more than a few friends and most of those are aquaintances. That's one reason I am so glad to have found this site. Besides my mom who lives about 40 mins away, I am completely alone with these issues. Thanks!

Re: tree woman
I cannot imagine what you are going through!! It's amazing how much we(I mean we in the sense that I think I speak for most people) take our senses for granted until we lose them!! If there was some way I could exchange my number privately to u I would read those things aloud to you!! I know if I'm willing to do something like that then there must be others too!! I don't know how much a consult w Christine is but that sure does sound like a good idea!! I'm sure someone else will see this n be able to help more but if not then post ur question again as its own post so it draws more responses!! I now how it is to feel alone!! I have no female friends or relatives n I was so glad to find this place n the wonderful women here!! Remember you r NEVER alone! N if u want to wait till August I can read the book n describe the movie to you aloud if I can find a way to give u my contact info!! standing for firebreathing
Hi Surviving60 -- I'm embarrassed that I forgot to mention that I do bend forward and put my hands on my thighs (like the video when Christine stands), and I'm happy to read that you say I'm o.k. with this as long as the breathing is correct, lower abdomen is forward, and lumbar curve in place. I bend at the hips, knees slightly bent, and pretty much follow Christine's example only without squatting, sitting, or lying down. I always appreciate your comments, because you seem to know a great deal about this whole process. As a recent "convert" to WW, there is great comfort in knowing I'm getting accurate information. Thanks so much.

Thanks wantmylifeback!
I love your screen name, I have literally said that on a post before: that I want my life back. Absolutely! Wow thanks for reminding me that I am not alone, and thanks for the offer to read parts of the book out loud to me. I'm still debating whether to also try bribing the disability resource center at school to scan the book for me... that would mean having them find out I have this problem. I don't think I'm comfortable with that yet. It's so thoughtful for you to offer! I'm glad to know we are in this together. The worst feeling about this whole mess is the way I have felt so alien and estranged from myself... it's been hard in that state to let anyone in. I'm trying though.
