When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Homeopathy
I am currently taking homeopathic remedies (also Sepia)in an attempt to strengthen my pelvic floor. I have a cystocele and rectocele after the birth of my son (almost 12 months old). So far I cannot say that it helped but it is early days (I only started 2 weeks ago). I would be interested to know how you go.

I tried this after my post
I tried this after my post partum prolapse, more out of desperation than anything else. I did it for a few weeks and decided that for me it wasn't worth the expense. I think it made me feel better emotionally for those few weeks though. I do believe that prolapse is structural and I am at the point where I personally doubt whether lotions and potions work, but each of us has to find out own way with this. (I do still drink red raspberry leaf tea and it does make me feel better somehow! :)
Also, although I know many people swear by them, several recent studies have shown homeopathic remedies to be nothing more than sugar pills. However, who is to say what will work if one believes it will! The mind can be a very powerful thing.

sepia
curous to hear how it works for you. my mw suggested sepia when I was pg and getting migraines and I've also found it helpful prementrually when I start to feel like running away. pop a sepia and within minutes I'm calmer. placebo? maybe. I don't care. It works (though it didn't do much for the migraines)

Sepia
Thanks for all your interest! I have used homeopathy successfully ever since my kids were babies (they're now 11 and 16) but mostly for them. I do find that Carbo Veg is an instant solution if I get feeling bloated, so I don't think it's all in your mind. The first few days I took the Sepia I felt I was having the mother of all PMSs -- a bit of a shock since I haven't had a period for a year now. But no period showed up so I think it was the Sepia. The naturopath said that was an indication that it was working with my body and to continue with it. Those symptoms went away immediately, but now, two weeks later, I still don't have any miracles to report yet re the prolapse! I'll let you all know what happens...

I'm a Homeopath and new to this site
Hi there
Gosh, don't know where to start. I'm a 32 yr old homeopath and have all 3 type of prolapses - was just diagnosed this week. I've been a wreck ever since and this site has just lifted my spirits. It's all happened after the horrendous birth of my firstborn - my gorgeous son (he's now almost 12 months) - forceps, episiotomy, suspected cervical rupture, blood transfusion. They've been fobbing me off for so long but I've finally got the daignosis. I'm in the UK so am unsure about the correct terms to use such as retrocele etc as I've just been told uterus, bowel and bladder and it's all "in a mess" they said. Well, thanks. They've told me surgery is the only option and I'm terrified about any kind of future pregnancy and if it's going to be possible at all. I feel shattered.
Anyway, sorry - to cut a long story short, since this was diagnosed I've had a problem being positive but took the bull by the horns only yesterday to sort out some homeopathy for myself. My mum is also a homeopath so we did some tests together and I'm taking a combination of remedies - all of which are designed to help the organs themselves as well as the ligaments, nerves and surrounding structures (which my mum thinks were damaged as a result of my being in stirrups and being pulled upon). I would of course say that I believe homeopathy helps. Since I've been taking them I feel much better but by all means, have a try yourselves and see what you think. Sepia is classically indicated for prolapse of the pelvic organs so that is why so many of you have heard about it and are taking it.
Others to try:
Arnica (I'm rather battered after my horrid exam to determine extent of problem so am taking this to relieve bruising as they're all swollen and knocking against one another)
Calc-fluor, calc-phos, hypericum, cantharis, arg-nit.
I could go on and on about the benefits of homeopathy here but don't want to create a massive post. But it's seriously worth giving it a try and you're not going to do any damage. They're safe, gentle and effective and msot of all cheap. Get them in the 30c potency if you're going to give it a go but the one to start with is sepia although if you have damage like me from an actual event it may not be as effective as it might be for someone who has hormonal problems - for whom it would be better indicated.
Hope that helps. Am off to see if there are any positive pregnancy stories to lift my spirits. If anyone can guide me in the right direction??!! Please someone tell me it's going to be possible to have another baby.......

hello jbee
I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a traumatic birth experience. but I will tell you that its possible to have another baby...look for Jane's (fullofgrace) story. she's an inspiration to me!
I will also tell you that it gets better. stick around here, give the posture a try and you will no doubt start to feel better about your prolapse situation. for one thing, you are so not alone!

Estrogen
Lucky me that my prolapse waited until now and didn't interfere with my childbearing! What happened for me was that I decided to try using Premarin estrogen cream for menopausal vaginal dryness. I had the prolapse a week later, which the GP says is a coincidence! My referral to the gynocologist isn't until December. I am trying to find other ways to deal with the prolapse in the hopes that I won't need to listen to any spiels about surgery when the appointment rolls around. So far, the Sepia has resolved the dryness -- wish I'd tried that first, instead of letting the GP tell me there would be absolutely no side effects with Premarin.

Re: Homeopathy
Hi,
I have found Sepia to be helpful for me with Cystocele and Rectocele #2. Having used it for a month since the prolapse. I am no expert on Homeopathy but have read some books on it. I think it would be wise to seek the help of a professional Homeopath and see if they can pin down your constitutional remedy (we all have one). I do not know mine yet but I want to find out and feel that by taking that remedy in addition to or instead of remedies for specific conditions ie Sepia it can help you to return to optimal health. I do not think it is something that you can easily find yourself unless you have studied it in depth. Wishing you all good health. BritB
