I think I'm doing my prolapse exercise wrong if anyone can help me out please.

Body:

Hi everyone I'm new at this but I am 31 I got my prolapse after I cough so much and carry loads I want to change my life around I was threaten to be operated on ... I haven ate for days I haven't slept much and didn't even have my mind with me until someone show me this website and said a lot of people in here is good and might help me with my prolapse. Thanks in advance ! I'm currently trying to lose weight and doing kegels and fix my posture but when I do my kegels I feel like I'm doing it wrong! I feel that it bulges out Abit if I leave it alone by when I work at it then it's gone. Please help me and tell me what to do to fix my self... Thanks everyone

Hi Logan's mom and welcome. We're very glad you found this site, but I'm not sure you have started to check out any of the content here. Our approach to prolapse stabilization is not with Kegels (they are a waste of time and can actually make things worse) but rather, with a postural correction that enables you to hold your organs forward in the relaxed lower belly and over the pubic bones where they aren't cramming into the vagina. Have you read or looked at any of this information yet? We can direct you but you need to take the first step. - Surviving

Hi .... I'm Really don't know what I'm doing at this point but by trying to collect some info so I can get better. I try to look for the class here where I live but there is no class here. All I know is kegels so that's what I'm been doing ... If you know some moves can u help me do the exercises that helps the most!? Thanks because I think in doing exercises wrong and I don't understand which muscle to use for core and pelvic floors...

Hi logansmom,
The best thing to do right now is get a better understanding of what pelvic organ support is. Here on the whole woman site you can find tons of information to get you started. Go to the tool bar on top of this page and start reading everything you can. You will find the most basic information you need right now.
Christine Kent has studied and then made available to us what truly helps get our pelvic organs back into the lower belly where they belong with whole woman posture.
Once you have had a chance to familiarize yourself with this concept, go over to the whole woman store. There you will find books, DVDs, and on line courses that will really give you everything you need and that will help you the most.
I am noticing that English is not your first language? If you are having trouble navigating this site, just let us know, and we can help you get around, because the information from Christine herself is the best you are going to get on this site.

Hello, I'm new here and was wondering if we are allowed to share links to the information that's on the web?
I'm unsure if this is a general women's support forum or just for those using the dvd and book?

Hi Freyja - this is an open forum focusing on the work of Christine Kent, who has developed a method of prolapse stabilization and spinal and hip health by returning women to their natural spinal shape.

What type of link were you planning to share? We will decide if it is appropriate for our message and delete it otherwise. - Surviving

I see then. It is ok I will find another group. Wishing you all the best ! Sorry for the "spam" too.
Ps, I know that there is a method that is being used here but also understood that better methods exist before ever coming here ... Like proper deep squats and walking and posture...but I don't want to step on toes.

I have looked at the many different methods available out there, and haven't found any as indepth as what Christine has developed. Maybe a little more research into her methods is what you need.

Hi AG.... Yes I have a English problem and trying to get as much helps as I can... So sorry for this but I don't understand much when I read them... I'm the type that learn more then there is a guidance. But I can't find one near me. And plus when your mind is not stable I still can't focus trying to understand because my mind is no with me.... So if anyone can please help me guild me through this easily it's like I have met an angel! Thanks everyone!

I have try to do my posture stand up tall feet straight shoulders relax and breath in to ur tummy not ur chest. Talk head chin tucked but out chest out.... And I do pelvic floor exercise and Abit of kegels. Now I wonder if I do anyone wrong

Hi logansmom,
I would stop doing the pelvic floor exercises and kegels if I were you. They aren't going to do you any good in the long run. It may be best for you to have instruction you can look at and listen to. I would suggest that you go to the whole woman store and buy the "First Aid for Prolapse" DVD. Christine gives very good instruction on posture and most helpful information you need for day to day activity.

Hi AG I will do so thanks for the advice I really do it reserve my prolapse Abit

After I work up my do my posture and make everything better do u guys think I can carry another baby with out hurting my pelic floor or make is worster?

And yes, we have lots of moms here who have given birth with no problems after discovering prolapse.

AG I thought I have lost hope when they told me to get surgery and then that means I can't have a baby.... So I decided to fight my way through so I can run jump or even go to Disneyland on long walks with my son like I promise every year... We r all moms and woman's in here. And know how important it is to keep a promise to ur babies and share fun fun times. I want three children but cry hard been having 3 m/c. So I beg beg God to just give me one more just one. I think after when I get Prego imma lay down and not move and have a c section instead! This ww really give me hope I hope it really works.. Thanks AG for talking and helping me out.... I really appreciate it

Hi logansmom,
So sorry to hear of your miscarriages. Prolapse does not affect your ability to carry a baby; many of our mothers on here have had multiple births while having prolapse.
Look at the videos that surviving posted, and get your DVD. The better you understand what you are going through, the easier this will all be for you. Having prolapse does not mean the end of your dreams. I came here with a severe prolapsed uterus, and I now do everything I want to.
Have heart, it can only get better from here.

What stage are you or were you? Do u feel it go back up? And can u run and jump ? I'm not planning to do a marathon but u know sport day with my son... And chase after him .... He's getting heavy now hope I can carry him u know those kind of things. I don't want to be like all him friends mom r out on the field playing with there kids while I'm up the hill watching u know!?

My cervix was sticking out when I first discovered my prolapse, and with this work I can keep it inside and way up inside most of the time. You will find once you lose the fear through understanding and doing this work, you will also find yourself doing everything you did before and more. I hike and bike long distances, and take long walks. Some of the ladies also do run and jump! You just have to get your body developed back into its right posture, the one we all had as children.
This work takes study and time, but yes, with dedication, it can all be done again.
And, you can lift your children, you just have to be careful and do it in posture. Christine actually has an excellent example of this in her DVD.

I am 77 and have had a prolapse for the past couple of months What posture is being spoke about here Help please

Cathanne,
Maybe you missed our posts to you. Here it is:

When you say your uterus yup there most of the time means it can come back down then right!?

Yes, if I don't keep this up, it can. But, it also peeks out when I have my period. That is just something that happens, but I can always get things back into shape after my period.
There are many factors that play into this, age being one of them. For many of us, this is management, but the younger you are, the better chances of being less symptomatic.
I am in a very comfortable place with my prolapse now. Managing it is just a part of my life now, and like I said, it doesn't slow me down!

If you don't mind me asking how old r u? U seems young!

If you don't mind me asking how old r u? U seems young! I'm been doing postures all day and breathing from my tummy .... I notices I have shorter breath and hurts about but I think cuz I'm not use to it. This is harder then o thought

I am 52. I did a lot of heavy lifting in my job, and was always constipated. These are very bad things for prolapse. Over time of all the bad practices, prolapse caught up to me. But, I am in a very good place with this now, and if I can do this, I believe anyone can.

Once you learn all the principles of the posture and practice them regularly, it will get easier. Don't force things, it will come with time. Relaxing your body into posture is much more beneficial than forcing it.

Because I have s hunchbac

Is it a condition you have, or do you just hunch too much?

I had a lil of hunch back then as my job progress I'm rolling in a ball

Well, that's not good. We are not meant to labor so hard. I went to a chiropractor for years, because of the hard work I did. I am sorry you are going through that.

This is y I'm thinking why all this is happening to me. I feel bad for you to no one should go through this specially woman because we carry hard labor being pregnant. And after pregnant we have to maintain our bodies to take care of her children. It's just not fair

Our bodies can handle having children just fine, if not for all the outside influences. It is amazing reading Christine's research on how well women could handle it so much better before we started losing our natural posture. There are still cultures today who have maintained the posture and can do everything.
But thanks to Christine's work, we can also get back to that place.
Best wishes to you, logansmom.

Honestly of course a normal human being want to hear all the great news not failure news. I'm going to get the dvd and work my butt off... So far it's not always easy to erase your old habit and install new ones in but this morning breathing was Abit hard for me now it's not I still feel Abit heavy I hope I'm doing everything right! And thank you AG I wish you well too and I hope things and be more better for u then b4
