strange feeling of pressure while finishing peeing

As you know, I have a severely peaking uterus which I believe puts pressure either on the bladder itself or the urethra. This anatomy causes urine frequency and often constant urge. I've noticed that in times of stress it gets much worse. I can pee over 5 times in an hour and really pee.....not just a drop or two.

Since my husband has been ill, really during the time when things were worrying, I began to notice a strange feeling of pressure somewhere down in my lower belly as I finished peeing. I realize it might must be nerves as a result of the situation, but I wanted to ask the forum if anyone else has experienced this heaviness, not really pain? When I stop peeing, the feeling disappears. What could it be?

Have you been working on Wholw Woman posture? Jiggling? Firebreathing?

I am new here, and while I don't have an answer I do know what you are feeling. I have been dealing with peeing and pressure for 14 years after my daughter was born. I have had tests before for infection but they come up clean. I don't have it all the time which makes more mysterious. I have been to urologist years ago and nephrologist still no answer. Doctors don't have all the answers but sometimes they get it right. I would go have it checked out. Sorry about your mystery, my prayers are with you Pom Pom. Hugs.

This isn't a mystery. It's the pressure of a severly prolapsed uterus pushing on a bladder. I have this also. Pom Pom has been here for 4 plus years and hasn't indicated to us that she is working on whole woman posture or any of the techniques we use to make going to the bathroom easier on us.
This work helps pull our organs into or at least toward the lower belly taking that pressure off so things are not all kinked up. We can then get a better stream of urine going.
But, to get the relief, we must do the work and learn "all" of the techniques that makes our lives easier. Christine provides this to us.

I just thought of something, some foods will make me pee a lot more than others. Have you ever heard of intercystal cystitis? I may have spelled that wrong. I get that feeling and lots of peeing less when I stay away from my triggers. I gave up coffe, don't drink as much juice and drink more water, butter and oil and sket sauce do it too. It's weird I know. One doctor did say something about IC a while ago and I just tried working off a trigger list. I know with me dealing with the celes puts a whole new twist on it i can't wait to get my whole woman package in the mail to start working on that too. Anyway, good luck with finding out what it is!

I just learning. I got launched into this whole new life recently with a cystocele and a rectocele. I had the peeing problem before that and your comment makes me believe it was slowly happening all this time with the possibility of other factors playing a part. As for me I am always open to learn new things. I can't wait to get my package and start, I also have a consultation lined up for later on when I am ready.

That's great that you have the consultation. That will really help you hit the ground running with this work. This work really will open your eyes to so much that many of us didn't know. It is a wonderful journey to be on!

As you know I've been working with WW for over 4 years. I have all Christine's books plus the latest Destination Prolapse Free Programme. I am working on the whole woman posture as well as I can.
I sit upright on my sofa supported by a few cushions to keep my lumbar curve and chest up.
I do the same in my car and on my office chair and actually anywhere sitting. When walking I try to keep whole woman posture as well with lumbar curve, chest up and chin parallel with floor, sort of.
Towards the end of the afternoon I find it more difficult to pee even though I need to go more frequently. I always wait 30 seconds until the "second" pee comes to completely empty my bladder and it usually does. I know that Christine recommends sitting in a forward position on the loo but I find I cannot empty my bladder in that way - it seems blocked. I sit upright, this works better for me.

It's only recently, during the time that I was under pressure due to my husband having a heart attack and stroke, that I noticed this feeling of pressure/movement which sometimes hurts. My uterus is really outside my vulva, when I sit down I'm sitting on it and this sometimes hurts. Eventually it seems to find its way back inside but that hurts too occasionally. It also seems as if my uterus has changed position but I can't really say how. Just seems different.

I do the exercise routine every morning from Destination Prolapse free to strengthen all the muscles in order to keep whole woman posture. I can't say that I feel comfortable with my body - when I go out anywhere I have to know where the toilets are - quite limiting really. There are also events I can no longer take part in, like longer walks with friends.

I wear comfortable clothes and try to eat healthily. My prolapse is so much a part of everyday life, it determines my programme. I'm not happy with my situation but would not consider an operation as I am aware of the risks. I still hope that with whole woman posture, my uterus might find a position that troubles me less.

At least I know now that this pressure is not mysterious but a result of what is happening to my insides.
I sometimes wonder if my cituation can be improved with all that I'm doing considering my uterus is really protruding. How can it be repositioned?

Many thanks for your info. I was interested to hear that you experience something similar. I've had my POP for several years but it is only recently that I feel this pressure and movement down below when peeing. I recently had a check up for a urine infection but everything was ok.

Hi pompom,
I am wondering if you are able to bend over and give your uterus a shove. I sometimes do this, and I jiggle to get it in even better position, followed by firebreathing. Getting the uterus away from the vaginal opening and off the bladder as much as you can before you urinate can be a great help in getting a better flow overall.

That sounds like a practical idea.... I thought I'd try pushing my Uterus back in where she belongs as often as possible and then do some fire breathing. I also thought I'd do Christine's New Kegels as often as possible during the day.

The new kegels(pelvic rocks) are fine as part of a exercise routine, but they really aren't forceful enough to get a severly prolpased uterus to significantly move to any degree. What really gets it to move is bending over and really jumping up and down forcing the the uterus into the lower belly. This doesn't hurt me at all to do it; I have actually been doing this the whole time I've been practicing whole woman.
The jiggling gets the uterus in better position for the firebreathing which I started on all fours, because I couldn't get my uterus to stay long enough in the standing position to really have any affect. It has to be in there to some degree for firebreathing to be affective. And, mine would just slump right back to the vaginal opening upon standing.
But, I have been able to practice this long enough that I can now do both positions easily.
If you do this daily, you will start to notice less heaviness of the uterus at the opening of the vagina.
I even notice now that when I go in to give my uterus a shove, I just feel the cervix and it goes right in with very little effort.
Try getting into a good routine of shoving up uterus, bend over and jiggle it in forcefully, and then Firebreath at least 2 to 3 times a day. And, of course stand up in strong whole woman posture.
This has been working for me.

This is great info AG! My cervix is lower than it was before giving birth and I was wondering about getting it further up in there. When my prolapses became symptomatic it seems as if everything descended together. I am hoping the shoving and jiggling also takes some pressure off of my bladder and bowl.

Hi Wildstrawberry,
Please be careful with really forceful moves considering you just had a baby. My uterus hasnt seen a baby in many many years, while yours is still healing from your pregnancy. Do a couple jiggles and firebreaths and then see how it feels to you. If it feels fine, increase it.
The lucky thing for you is that you have a very good chance of your uterus moving back into natural position as you heal. The posture work only helps this along even better.
And, always remember never to do firebreathing on your period.

Thanks for the tip about getting my uterus inside. I'll try it out as you suggest.
At the moment it is low down protruding outside to quite an extent and every time I sit down and it moves back in there is a moment when it really hurts - passing the pubic bone or something.

I'm over the idea of having a flat belly and have bought into having somewhat of a belly bump. But it's more of a bump than is "attractive." I try to stay in Whole Woman posture maintaining the lumbar curve. I wonder if that, along with avoiding abdominal exercises has given more of a belly. I do have a seriously prolapsed uterus.

I see you are not new here, so I won't give you the relaxed belly is different than pushing the belly out speech, but having a belly myself, I do notice that when I pull up really strongly in the chest, I tend to have a long profile, which is so different than rolling over and sucking in my belly. that particular profile looks pretty lumpy.
I have a belly and I will probably always have a belly, but I don't let it get in the way.
Choosing clothing as much of what Christine has designed can go along way in building self confidence.
Keep lifting up strongly in chest.
Learning to accept our bodies can be hard in the society we live in where body image is so distorted. But, I have to tell you when I see women with flat hard sucked in bellies, I just feel sorry for them and the progressing prolapse that is happening in their bodies.
My 2 cents.
