Using tampons to keep prolapse from falling

Body:

While I am trying to manage my prolapse with exercise which I have been doing for about 2 weeks now my Dr. suggested that I can use a tampon when I am symptomatic. I am 62 and have long past menopause. Have any of you other ladies used a tampon regularly to keep prolapse up?

You can try it and see. Most of the posts I can recall reading on here, do not indicate a lot of success with this method, but all you can do is try.

You can exercise every day, and it won't do a thing for you unless you are understanding and putting into practice the principles of natural posture. You have had hyst and repairs, so your journey will have a few more challenges. Your surgeries are fairly recent and I hope you are being cautious. I'd recommend posture walks above all else. - Surviving

I suggest WW posture, exercises, following the WW advice for peeing & poking, avoid constipation, great food & drink (organic healthy), walking in WW posture, and generally following the WW way.

If you haven't done so already I suggest you invest in some resources and if you're able to a consultation with a WW teacher/Christine, 1:1, SKYPE/tel.

Having experienced a uterine prolapse myself, I found WW exercises helped me most initially (alongside WW posture as much as poss). In particular the cat posture in yoga/on all fours including doing hip circles in this position was/is great.

The problem with tampon use, is that although it may help, it isn;t actually addressing/rectifying the problem. It won't help the causes.

A lot of this work is trial and error. Try all the aspects of the WW way - and see what helps for you. It's all good! I found doing a 20' yoga practice following the yoga dvd's v. helpful.

Good luck, xwholewomanuk

Hi WWUK

I was interested to read your remarks referring to yoga practice. Is this from one of Christine's DVD's.
You've given me good advice in the past for which I thank you.
I'm looking for anything that can help my severely prolapsed uterus and am worried. It is more or less outside my vulva, looking sore and bled a litle yesterday. When I sit down I sit on it and this hurts as it moves back inside.
I've had a bad year with alot of pressure at home, am now 70 and had 7 children - just some facts about me.
I've been working on Christine's DVD Destination Prolapse Free and doing my best to keep in
WW posture. Thanks for your advice
