Pop and other infections/illnesses?

Body:

So my daughter has recently had chicken pox. The spots appeared two weeks ago and we got on with things pretty well with the only change in our routine being that she couldn't attend nursery and my morning walks with the baby were impossible.
Around ten days ago, I started feeling much more symptomatic - probably as bad as I was when the baby was 3-4 months old but affecting only my rectum/rectocele and bowels. Multiple urges daily, rectal pressure ugh - I couldn't eat without feeling like I needed to run to the bathroom to no avail and couldn't figure out why suddenly things seemed to have gotten so much worse although my vaginal symptoms were pretty stable and mild...anyway - depressed and fed up with the whole thing I cleaned up my diet and tried not to stress but then two days ago started to feel achey through my hips, sit bones and General pelvic area. Flu like feelings followed and today I have woken to spots. Ironically my bowel symptoms have vanished since the virus has properly appeared but I'm curious to know whether my recent apparent worsening after many good stable weeks could have been my body trying to fend off the virus? I'd like to hear whether or not this is a common thing with pop? I felt like inflammation was taking over down there and haven't been so uncomfortable in ages. Is there anything I could take when I feel this level of inflammation to help alleviate symptoms? Also I have found the posture incredibly difficult if not impossible to hold when I'm feeling run down...my body literally flops into a concave of the worst possible angle when I feel weak. Is relaxing my abdomen enough when I don't have the strength to pull up? Sounds pathetic but even that has required too much energy of late....

I felt similar before I came down with a coughing and sinus virus a few months back. My hips were really sore for the first time in my life. Thanks god I had WW posture and knowledge to get me through two bouts of couging (about 6 weeks total).

I have been thinking today how all my issues tend to be from my abdomen down to my pelvic area. It seems to be my weak area and yes seems to flare up more than other areas when my body is fighting something/stressed etc. I am interested in all the inflammation talk that has been going on and am making changes with my diet to see what happens.

As usual for your input and taking the time to comment. I'm curious as to whether people with other conditions have flare ups before bouts of illness. For example would an arthritis sufferer have more pain in the week preceding illness? I was shocked by how awful I felt this past ten days and instinct tells me it was the virus working on my system. So hard to avoid these things with tiny kids!
If anyone has ideas about anti inflammatory supplements that are good I'd love to hear about anything. My diet is already pretty good - as always room for improvement...

There is a whole-food supplement that my daughter and I take:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009F3RW4?keywords=zyflamend%20whole%2...

It contains turmeric, ginger, holy basil, rosemary, organic green tea, a few other things.

We have both made massive dietary changes since she was diagnosed a few months ago with an auto-immune disease. An anti-inflammatory diet is really the most critical thing - especially ditching the sugar. - Surviving

I'll check it out. Lots of turmeric and ginger in my diet anyway but not the other things. Sugar is the killer although I've mostly dropped it altogether in recent weeks....if I can have an occasional bit of dark chocolate I'll drop everything else!

Sure you can - just don't overdo and stick to something that's around 85% or higher. - Surviving
