Body:

HI ladies,
I recently felt a lump in my vagina and googled what it could be. I am normally very active (55) but since this prolapse it has made me look at doing things differently. I went to a specialist and he said my ligaments on the uterus, bowel and bladder were stretched needing a hysterectomy, front and back repair and mesh. My head started spinning. I have never had surgery or been in hospital except for the birth of my two girls which were pretty straight forward. So I started googling and ended up here, reading everyones stories. I am in Australia and want to buy a dvd but when I type in Australia for the postage it goes straight back to USA. Does anyone know the cost to ship to Australia and would the dvd be the best to start off with? Thanks for reading about my prolapse and I hope I can avoid surgery by following Whole Woman. Cheers.

Hi roxy - If you are having trouble ordering, you will need to contact Lanny. Use the "Contact Us" tab up above. Check out the store because there are also some great on-line resources available for immediate streaming, great for those in the far corners of the world!

Your doctor's reaction to a lump in the vagina personifies everything that is wrong with modern medicine. I don't know the Australian medical system, but if you can dump this doctor, please do. To say that he is knife-happy is an understatement; please don't allow yourself to be butchered. This is all so manageable. - Surviving

Hi roxymymate,
G'day & welcome to WW - I got the stretched ligament story also! I was given the only alternative of surgery for rectocele and because I left the appointments with the feeling like I had been flattened by a bus, the appalling manner and arrogance just left me knowing that surgery was not what I wanted.

That experience was a blessing in disguise because I waited 17+ yrs & 3yrs ago I found Christine and her work and have never looked back!

I have bought hard copies of Christine's DVDs and books, however now you can get the more instant online version of all her work.

The information on all the DVDs, particularly the 1st aid for prolapse, is presented by Christine, explaining the Posture which is fundamental to this work, and how to retrain ourselves so that we can manage prolapse naturally.
Her approach is to exercise the whole body including the feet, using modified yoga and ballet.

This is an amazing journey and so much more than prolapse, as Christine's approach is holistic!

Thanks Surviving60,
Lanny has contacted me and has fixed the issue. Will check out the on-line resources. I am on the waiting list so the hospital may contact me within the next year, so that gives me plenty of time to strengthen and reverse my symptoms. I won't be going back to him or having surgery.

Cheers Aussie Soul Sister!
Will definitely be checking out the instant online versions of Christine's work. Looking forward to seeing a difference.

Roxy, there is no quick fix for prolapse. It is a matter of ongoing management. The important thing now is to get started and to cancel any and all surgeries. - Surviving

Aussie Soul Sister is it possible for you to put the links to the online videos here, I can't seem to find them.

Thanks Surviving60 I will be reading and doing everything I can to improve my condition. No surgery here. :)

Roxy,
Go to the store on the tool bar above. There you will find the different options. The second line has streaming and ebooks.

Getting the Saving the whole woman on the ebook and the first aid for prolapse are the best to start with.

Hi Roxy - here is a good video to watch for an overview of the WW concepts. It is from the Resources section of the website. - Surviving

Thankyou!!

Cheers for that Aging gracefully

I have just purchased First Aid for Prolapse

The gyno I saw has put me on Vagifem Low pessary containing oestradiol for 2 weeks every night then twice weekly. Do you know others here that have been put on that also?

Your doctor is using hormones to thicken up the vaginal tissues in an effort to lessen the sensation of the bulge. You must decide if this is worth the risks. As a safe alternative, you can learn to manage your prolapse naturally and lose your fear of the bulge! - Surviving

Thanks for that, I have bought the dvd First Aid for Prolapse so looking forward to learning how to maintain it properly.

roxymymate,
Sorry I don't know anyone here.. I wouldn't touch it myself.

Aussie Soul Sister

hi roxy,

just a reminder that we have two active practitioners in australia, karen in the brisbane area and louise in the perth area. if you are feeling like you need help and support, reach out to them.

best wishes,
lanny (christine's DH)

Thanks Lanny for that info.

I stopped using it as I got a horrible discharge so put some honey in me for a couple of days and back to normal. Waiting for my dvd to arrive.

I received my video, so start the exercises tomorrow morning.

Exercises tomorrow, but start learning the posture today! Have fun. - Surviving

I have been for a couple of weeks, trying to soften my stomach, pull chest up. My toes started cramping when I had to sit on my haunches and sitting cross legged is hard and hurts but I will persevere daily. I will get there slowly.

Roxy, when starting out with this posture correction, it is not uncommon to feel a bit of muscle soreness, a healthy kind of feeling you would get any time you start to work previously unused muscles. But you should not subject yourself to pain. Sitting cross-legged is great for hip turnout but it does require a strong upper body to keep the lumbar curve from flattening, so, don't force yourself to do too much of that too soon. That will come as you strengthen the shoulder girdle with proper posture and exercises that make the upper body stronger. Not sure exactly what you mean by sitting on haunches. - Surviving

Thanks Surviving60, I am looking forward to the ongoing changes. Sitting on haunches I mean when you sit your butt on your heels and arms out in front with forehead touching the ground. You know I have done some of the exercises for 2 days now and I really don't feel the bulge as much. Mind you its been raining here for a few days and haven't been out doing as much as I would normally do. Anyway I want to change..

Hi everybody, I am new to blogging on here, although I have a lot of Christine's DVD's, 2 of her books, and have occasionally been on here to read and get helpful info from others in same situation. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago with uterine prolapse, although didn't take doctor's statement seriously as I couldn't feel anything. This past year I've definitely started feeling a portruding bulge and a feeling of heaviness in the abdominal area. My doctor is recommending hysterectomy, and ovary removal (so I don't have to worry about ovarian cancer!), but I have read enough of Christine's articles/book that I don't want that option. Sadly, I did not immediately begin the work necessary 2 years ago...human nature, I guess...wait til crisis! Anyways, I'm just looking for support/confirmation on this decision...all my friends, doctor are making me feel irresponsible for shying away from having a hysterectomy. I've been working on the posture, and the fire-breathing for about 2 weeks now...not sure if it's working...I'm scared!!

Hi Jazzi and welcome. The best way to deal with the wrong kind of pressure from family and friends, is simply not to discuss it with them. That's all there is to it.

You have the resources and the information you need to get started. Two weeks is barely a drop in the bucket - give yourself some time. You need your uterus and your ovaries. Can you imagine a man getting his sex organs removed so he doesn't have to worry about getting cancer? Absurd.

It is absolutely never too late to start this work. Good luck and keep participating in the forum discussions - it helps to share experiences. - Surviving

Thank you, Surviving60!
I have a question....doctor also suggested an ultrasound (to rule out polyup, and adexal mass), since she found a "large" polyup. Then scheduled an appointment with a Gyn. After reading about the polyup that just "fell" out of Christine's body after some herbal treatments, I am considering not having the ultrasound or keeping the Gyn appointment. My husband thinks I should go for both and see what the Gyn has to say....I don't believe in exposing my body to un-neccessary radiation, and am pretty sure the Gyn will not say anything I haven't already heard, but.......??

Hello, well its been roughly 12 months since I started following the first aid for prolapse dvd and can definitely manage my prolapse. I add the exercises daily which includes the jiggling (love that) to finish off. I walk my dog twice daily, use honey only when necessary which is less all the time, when I have to pick up my grandchild 2, I can control it a lot better. Have even started having sex again, using a bit of honey lol, I felt pretty self conscious about the intimacy for quite some time, but have gotten over that feeling and enjoying it now. Once I got my head around it being with my for life, I relaxed and now get on with my life, knowing the exercises are keeping it in check. I am so happy I found this group. Cheers.

Hi Roxy,

Great to hear that you are feeling in control of your body, and I thank you with all my heart for coming back to tell us of your progress.

I recognized early on that seeing real progress in an older woman usually takes up to a year, and it sounds like you are right on track!

I am 64 years old now, and in the same boat as the others here. It is a marvelous thing that symptoms can still wax and wane, but the ability to do something about them always remains. I often wonder what I would be like if not for my condition. Would I force myself to get into the studio each morning? Would my diet be quite so healthy? It’s hard to say, but these symptoms are always a great motivator to keep on keeping on!

I still use honey every day because of the self-cleansing nature of the vaginal eco-system. Moreover, I believe it has important systemic effects, although I’m not sure how. Do healthy vaginal lactobacilli make their way to other parts of the body? My general state of well-being with and without daily honey tells me that somehow they do.

Anyway, I’m thrilled that you are doing so well and let’s keep checking in through the years. We are the first cohort of women ever managing these pelvic conditions naturally over the long term. What a hoot it will be when we’re in our eighties and nineties.

Best wishes,

Christine
