Hi Christine

Body:

I have been a victim of a medical blunder in Dubai.I went for a bladder lift and come back with a partial hysterectomy. He did virtually scam my insurance ,very common in Dubai. The doctor said that it would save me future worries and years of visits to do pap smears! It was a very painful recovery and a very emotional one too! Still traumatized by this barbaric act.My hormones are non existent, libido gone,I'm a mess...lost my life!
Yes, I tried to sue the doctor and the hospital as I did not request the hysterectomy, to no avail. Left Dubai with much sadness and traumatized.
No need to say that after all my suffering and humiliation,4 years later the prolapses, bladder and havens knows what else, are back!!
Now I'm in NZ,the doctors are a bit less aggressive here and perhaps more compassionate towards woman, but I am betting on been sent to do another repair!
I do refuse to go back on the operating table as I've lost my faith on doctors and medicine, to be honest, they scare me as hell after my experience in Dubai.Yet,I can not live this way.Much to young, I do not want to end up in nappies or worst!
I am 56 years old and had a premature menopause about 20 years ago as it runs on my family. Never felt any problems related to it,mind you, had an easy menopause,no symptoms at all, only 4 years ago I got hit with a prolapse after a heavy Yoga class engaging my ab..Sounds familiar?
Now i have dryness, constant UTI,a feeling of my bladder falling down from my vagina, sometimes discharges, pain on my lower back, lower tummy and hips after a long day. Frequent urge to pee that ends up half on my pants before getting to bathroom. Constipation that eases a bit with pressure on perineum area.I've noticed a soft bulge up inside my vaginal canal, it is slowly invading my vaginal canal descending more and more, specially after lifting weight( kids) or doing some exercises or house work. I push it up with my finger when having a shower as it eases the feeling of fullness,is that the bladder? Also have pain when trying to have sex. I'm so scared of having sex,no need to say that the hysterectomy ruined my life! Not even exercises are on my agenda any longer...i feel like an 80 years old sick woman.
Please help me. Whats should I do to be able to live with this situation?
Would wearing a ring pressary help?-heard confusing opinions of its use.
I refuse to wear hormones as the doctor prescribed back in Dubai to help the repair last "forever". I find it very controversial, Hormones are not something to be played with, specially after many years of menopause.Don't you agree? Made a choice to use Manuka honey as I've read here about its benefits.
Is it my fault,Christine, that the repair is a failure? Was it something that I've done that caused it to re-occur?
Please guide me,what else can I do to be able to live with a prolapse, If i choose to never repair it again, and do not aggravate it?
Please help me Christine!!
hugs

It is not only in places like Dubai where women can wake up with no uterus! Any time a woman goes under the knife even for some exploratory procedure, well, it can happen. Doctors are always "covered" because no matter what we sign or how we make our wishes known, they still have free rein to do whatever they deem medically in the best interest of the patient, in their own judgment, which of course is never going to be questioned or overturned. I found Nora Coffey's book, "The H Word" to be quite chilling as it made this point and many others.

Lila, I see that you joined here years ago, but I am gathering that you never embraced the WW work, or you would not have ended up on the table for a "bladder lift" in the first place. But it is not too late for you to take control of the situation (and I can see that you are already doing that).

I don't know which, if any, of Christine's works you have in your personal collection. The next big thing approaching release is specifically for the post-hysterectomy woman. In the meantime, you want to be gentle with yourself. I don't know if you are a good pessary candidate or not; you can give it a go, if you have a patient doctor who will work with you to get the best possible fit. If you were completely intact I would advise against going down that road; but you have radically altered pelvic dynamics, and it isn't for any of us to say that it should or should not be tried.

Your story can be very useful for women who are contemplating hysterectomy and repairs. I have huge admiration for those of you who can bring yourselves to come onto this forum and share the experience. Christine does have help and advice for you. Stay tuned for the new video. Consider booking a consult with her, so you can directly address the specifics of your situation and get the best guidance possible. Thanks for posting. - Surviving

Thank you very, very much for your words of encouragement. I did try to incorporate into my life style some of Christine's tips, but because I had a doctor luring me into doing a radical repair with false promises of a permanent results,I dropped it! Big mistake.
The doctor even had the audacity of telling me after the surgery that my insides were one of the healthiest one he had seen in ages and that because of my age he made the split decision of removing them as for future prophilaxy.
He did not respect my wishes or the paper signed by me to do not remove my uterus. When I placed a complaint to the board of trustees on the hospital they brought to me a fake biopsy to explain his decision...How did i know that it was fake? Because I went to another specialist that assured me that the blood type in the biopsy was not mine and that I had a partial hysterectomy not a cone surgery investigation like it said on the biopsy. He also told me that Dubai is notorious for fake biopsies anoutorized organs removal. It was a total nightmare that costed me lots of sleepless nights and money.
Now I've been left crippled. Is there any hope? Maybe I should just shut my vaginal entrance and forget about sex forever? What else can be done?

I'd say the first mistake was to view the Whole Woman work as a collection of "tips". It is much more than a few tips and it is much more than an exercise program. If you originally acquired any of Christine's materials, I would return to them now and start learning and understanding that the WW work is a fundamental change in the way we move and carry our bodies throughout the day. It is a return to the natural spinal shape that supports our organs correctly. All of her work is chock-full of warnings about the effects of surgical "cures".

Once you have this fuller understanding of what WW is all about, you can go forward with trying to figure out how you might still be helped by it, despite the surgeries you have had.

Beyond this, I can only repeat that Christine's next product is specifically for the post-hysterectomy woman. In the meantime your best source of help might be an individual consult. Remember that Christine's own prolapse came directly as a result of a bladder lift procedure. Particularly if you are already experiencing some stage of vaginal vault prolapse, it's beyond the scope of our forum, which is not a consulting service by any means. - Surviving
