I Really Need Advice Doctors Are Not Helping. Nothing Has.

Body:

Hello I did not even know what a prolapse was until about 6 months ago. I woke up last June with feelings of a UTI and I am still feeling the same but worse things are happening. I read through here for hours and dont really know what the posture thing is or how it works. I will apologize in advance that I am not very good with computers so maybe I missed something? I have had 2 full time jobs and had to leave one about 2 mos. ago due to my painful situation. I went to my own primary doctor who did all he could do which was give antibiotics 1st then tell me 2 days later I had zero evidence of UTI. Then to a Urologist who thought I had a blocked ureter which after all the tests including a nuclear med scan. I have no problems in those areas. Then a Gynecologist or womens doctor because the Uro said I did have 2 prolapses. I also have has hematuria for 11 years and the little camera in my bladder 2 times comes back with "well we see no cause for the blood" Other than the prolapses of my bladder and uterus there is nothing found to cause all this pain I am in. I was fit for a pessary which did relieve 100% the heaviness and falling feeling and pressure I had developed since the pain 1st began. I lost 50lbs. I quit smoking, I did all the tests and things got worse. I was also given Prosed DS which is a medicine for bladder pain and it does help but I take 2x the amount and every 4 hours rather than 8 hours apart. Some days the pain is really bad and I am up most of the night. I dont have any urine leakage but the pessary is stained a bright blue from the Prosed. I dont know how or why the urine is getting up there but it has. I never went back to the Gynecologist because she told me if the pessary doesnt work there is nothing she can do to help me. I try to make it work but I take it out every night and on my 2 days off. I did have frequent urination but the pessary did help this. I can go 3 hours between visits to the bathroom now and it was every hour to every 10 mins before. It is really hard to go but that nagging feeling that I have to go starts every time a few mins after I go. I was sent to a physical therapist but I dont have $400 dollars for each session. The womens doctor said my prolapses are very mild, The Urologist said I needed surgery. To be specific- a hysterectomy. I was also told by all 3 doctors that it is perfectly fine to continue lifting 50-60 pounds several times a day. I sell furniture and have to load customers cars a few times a day. Everything else I read said avoid lifting heavy objects. The symptoms I still get are pain in the urethra and bladder, I said no to a surgery where they wanted to put an electrode in my buttocks or in my bladder and the battery part in my buttocks, I am not bothered enough by frequent urination to want this. I do want the pain to go away! When the pessary slips down a little I get the numbness back in my left foot and pain down the backs of both legs and inside of both legs. Part of my vulva gets painful like blood is not circulating right. I get spasms in my leg and left foot I push the pessary back up and it fixes this but not the pain. I dont feel a bulge per say in the back part of my vagina but like one behind the pubic bone but it is rough feeling and very painful there. I just think something is being missed. I was tested for MS and I dont have that. I was tested due to parathesis one night at the ER. I did have a colonoscopy a year ago and I think they would tell me about a rectal prolapse but they didnt say I had one then. So I am willing to try this posture method but I dont understand what it is. Please Help.

Hello blacksheepannie and welcome,
Were you able to view the video on the home page? Christine gives a really good introduction to this work in that video as well as all the written material on this site apart from the forum, so do have a good look around.

The whole woman posture is what the this work is all about. When in posture our pelvic organs are moving into the lower belly where they belong and out of the vaginal space where they cause us all these problems. How you toilet is also beneficial in preventing UTIs as Christine explains in her work. Complete emptying of he bladder is the key.

After you have had a good read around, go to the whole woman store, where you will find the materials you will need to help you better understand this work. The best start is the Saving the Whole Woman book and the First Aid For Prolapse DVD, or you can get a bundle, and there are online courses.

This work has been such a tremendous experience and has helped so many of us get our lives back.

Thank you for taking time to reply. I am having another of those sleepless nights of pain and burning so I decided to visit this forum again. I saw 2 videos a 3 min one and a 31 min one which explained who Christine is and her story but I didnt find any techniques to help relieve any symptoms. I saw a post from the forum tbat explained how to urinate without really having to push down to get it out and this did work but I cant find any info about how to do the correct posture. Well I suppose its in the books or online classes exclusively? I saw I have to pay money for these? Is this the info you are telling me about? I am not very well financially sound after months of seeing doctors and bill collection on the 2 physical therapy sessions where I sat in a chair and was instructed to do Kegal excercises which I was doing all along and obviously hasnt been beneficial. I really want to save my insides intact and am not being pressured into surgery at this stage but just want the pain to stop and am desperate to ttry something that may work. I cant afford the cost of these things at the Whole Woman store at the moment after having to leave my 2nd job. I will look for more posts like I found that explain what some of these postures are until I can make a purchase. I am into unknown territory here and really want to learn from ladies such as yourself who are here to help others, like me who are really miserable and may have some wisdom to share. I wish I had found this before all the money I was making was spent on doctors but I suppose then there wouldn't have been a diagnosis. Thanks again

Just take your time and save your money so you can at least purchase the products one at a time like many of us did. The best thing to start with is the First Aid for Prolapse DVD. You will get all the basics of this work there. The forum is not a replacement for the work itself, but is here to help those that are interested in and engaged in the work. Keep reading around though, you can still find much insight here.

Hello again. Well I know I do have prolapses but I sm not 100 percent sure of it is the cause of all this pain due to the strange symptoms of temperature things, numbness, tingling and burning. I was tested for MS becsuse of these symptoms. Its really hard to sit and I feel like my leg bands of my underware sre too tightt like rubbing but they hang down like not even touching my skin so I know this isnt the case. I get the feeling liike a tampon is stuck or foreign body is in me but prolapse can do tbis. One of my main feelings is like I rode a horse or bike and when you get ofc them your legs feel like they are being pushed out. The horse or bike are invisible because the last time was when i was pregnant with my 4th child  27 years ago. Had hit the bar and had surgery to remove a hematoma. Never rode a bike again! The strangest symptoms are feeling like hot water is being poured down my leg or actually i thought my dog peed on me but that he was 10 feet away. I cant find anything on prolapses causing all these odd sensations. Have any of you experienced these symptoms? Its mainly on one side of ny body so maybe this is why the gynecologist said she cant help? Anyone have any information on PNA or prolapsed organs making this worse? Or more importantly what makes it better. Thanks in advance

Hi blacksheepannie,
Prolapse does not cause severe pain, so you may be dealing with something else beside prolapse issues, but we are not medical people here, so wouldn't be able assess this kind of pain or what could be causing it.

Maybe someone will come along that has actually had pudenal neuralgia and can relate their experiences with it.

Hi, I have had this. I don't know if it was pudenal neuralgia because I didn't see a doctor. I had all the same symptoms as you and also wondered if I had MS. I did very specific stretches and it finally went away. I don't have Christine's yoga DVD's but intend to get them some day. Also the hips DVD would be good. I do have to do these stretches every day (which only takes 5 minutes or it does come back again.) I don't believe it has anything to do with my prolapses but I believe Christines DVDs would help you. It felt to me like some nerves were trapped. Stretch, stretch stretch.

Hi there. I'm in the same situation in that I care for my husband who is ill long term and I also work full time, barely making ends meet.
I'm very disappointed that whilst it's lovely that there is a nice forum and support from other ladies going through the same it is only ever hinted at what the posture, exercises etc are and you have to buy the DVDs and books to know what you're doing.
I think it's a real shame that the basics aren't explained on the website so that those of us who are completely broke can at least get started on controlling our problem and hopefully stopping it progressing until we can save up to get the starter kit or first aid DVD. The postage alone to where I live is $37! An online non transferable copyrighted version emailed would possibly be a lot better cost and speed wise ?
I realise this is people's livelihood but I don't think it would affect sales, quite the opposite in fact. Plus it's something all women deserve to know as a human right from where I'm standing.
Good luck and hope you soon feel brighter x

Jennifred,
If you read enough of this site and forum, you will get plenty of information to get you started, but it will never be as good or thorough as the work itself.

Christine has worked hard to get this information to us, doing her own research and putting her own money into this. It is really unfair of you to suggest that she just give it away for free. She did in fact have a utube video showing posture, but had to take it down, just because people relied on that instead of buying the materials.

If this is important to you, keep reading around and save a little money on the side for the materials.

My goodness, Jennifred. What a post.

WW offers discounts from time to time, and as a member of the site, you will be notified by e-mail. Meanwhile, it's your body, so feel free to utilize the resources of the site and forum if you are interested in making things better. This isn't a consulting service, we all have to do the work for ourselves.

And check your attitude at the door, next time you choose to post!! - Surviving

Im so glad I know i am not crazy that was good for me to hear from someone that has endured this. Thank you all for the helpful comments. I tried to stretch and feel like a shock run down the back of that leg. I cant even bend over if my feet are apart. Is this what you felt at first? Like do you remember how the spasms and popping shocks feel? Do they subside with more streatching? One website ssid yoga that involves that nerve being streatched furthur across the bone shouldnt be done. Im willing to work through the pain as you got better so there is hope.

I think Jennifred has the right to speak her feelings and like me probably in pain physical discomfort and mental frustration because well I spent countless hours pouring through forum after forum to find just one post that may help alleviate symptoms. Or at least give peace of mind and reassurance. I have done a lot of mental work in the past year because I didnt have a clue of how to do the physical things. I agree that Christine should reap some compensation as this is a well put together forum. Is there like a rule here though or is the posture difficult to explain? Is it something you have to see to learn is what I am imagining? Do you ladies ever mail your old DVDs to others if we pay the shipping to you once you learn the method or would this be piracy? Annie

The posture is not a secret!! Descriptions are plastered all over the forum for anyone to find, so if that does it for you, you are welcome to search around.

For those who are really serious about finding the more in-depth answers and really want to help themselves will want to make an investment in the work itself. There are no short cuts and Christine deserves our respect for all the hard work and dedication that she has put into this. Without her, we wouldn't even know what the word posture even really means.

I was able to find this 19 min video and if I saw this one it really did the trick and made me understand how a correct posture works. I have always loved Anthropology but never really thought it could hold clues to fixing prolapses. She also said Yoga and Pilates are for male forms which is possibly why it is so uncomfortable to me. Not all the excercises but most. So I did hear this part correctly? Im going to save up for a DVD because I am a visual learner. But this video...i hope the above link works...Showed ladies with really bad, bad prolapsed organs and mine are not that bad so I feel much better. It was not that easy finding this video. I had to do an advanced search which excluded my name to get a forum that someone posted in discussing removal of a video. Can you guys that have been here or perhaps help design this site to work on like tags that work a bit easier? Or better use of keywords? I am not as i said a computer wiz and do appreciate this site works on my cheap mobile. Thanks again and i can't recall her name that originally posted this linkage but i am grateful to you all for all your time.
Annie

That video is actually a clip from one of Christine's online video courses and is easy to find in the resources tab, just as tons of other very helpful information.

This site does not begin with the forum. The site itself has so much more, and it is not difficult to access it either. It is right at the top on the tool bar. Just start clicking.

have you tried laying on your back on the floor with arms spread out, palms up with legs up on a coffee table, bum right up to the coffee table and lay there and relax for 5 minutes. It seems to take the pressure off that nerve. I hope I don't get into trouble for saying this but look up Pete Egoscue video for this.

because I have been reading so much info on Wholewoman ,whilst laying down with Ipad, that my neck was really painful. I followed the link u recommended and did a couple of exercises for the neck, keeping within whole woman posture and bingo my neck is much better! I too hope u r not in trouble !!
I would never part with my Saving the Whole Woman book or my First Aid for Pop and yoga dvd s,they r my bibles!! They r well worth the investment especially if u cannot have live streaming of internet. It is difficult in the UK as the tax and postal costs seem to be completely unknown. I was lucky to be able to meet the UK practitioner ,Lindy and I have been on the right track ever since!
