Is this pelvic surgery?

Body:

I've been dealing with urinary incontinence and pt and other methods haven't been working. So I've been searching for non-surgical treatment methods. I came across Urethral Bulking as a treatment method for urinary incontinence: http://www.urogyncentersf.com/treatment-care/gynecological-care/minimall...

Does this count as surgery?

Any procedure you have done in a doctor's office has risks. I did look this up and there is also no guarantee that it even works for the long term, so you would probably have to go have it done on a regular basis, increasing risks.

Have you considered Christine's urinary incontinence program? This is the best noninvasive and safe way to help incontinence for the long term:

Thank you for your advice. I'll definitely try it. I really hope that it works I've been dealing with incontinence for too long now.

Hi sfjane,
I hope you find the WW incontinence program helpful. I have heard of several women who found it significantly improved their symptoms & quality of life. As with all the WW work it takes consistent engagement with the work, time & patience. 1 of the beautiful things about the WW approach is that it works with natural female anatomy & this approach is good for women's health in generally as well as specifically for the urinary system.
Good luck - & please let us know how you get on!

26/6/16: Has anyone out there HAD this surgery? I have had this problem since 2010 of & on believe it or not. BUT now so miserable and in such need of help from my specialist for this. I saw him last 2013 and have been coping somehow. He told me to go back if I am having same problem, it is making my life miserable. Does this surgery help or does the prolapse return/Toronto.? I don't fancy a pessary. Active 82yr. old senior.

Tangogirl, Christine discusses these procedures in her incontinence series. They have a high failure rate, and can cause permanent damage to the urethra. I would highly recommend her incontinence series, as I think you would benefit from a better understanding of the anatomy of prolapse and incontinence. And the pee-on-pee-off exercises are great. - Surviving
