When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

It couldn't hurt, but a slightly protruding cystocele shouldn't bleed unless the vaginal tissues are extremely fragile. Are you post-menopause? Honey is the best thing to feed these tissues, I think this has been suggested to you before, and discussed constantly on this forum. Give it a try. - Surviving

vitamin E
Concern over quality of honey where I live - NOT in the US - hence my question about vitamin E. Was hoping for replies from those who had actually used Vitamin E. I have read all about the honey and will continue to look for the unprocessed variety. Any vitamin E users out there?

Heather - you can use the
Heather - you can use the search box up above to look for others' comments on Vitamin E. But I wouldn't abandon the honey idea. If you don't trust your local stuff, you can buy organic raw honey on Amazon! - Surviving

gave up on pessary
I gave up on my pessary over a year ago because I was advised that I had to use an estrogen cream with it. When I stopped using the cream, I could not get the pessary out by myself - - and I previously liked to take it out every night. Now, my uterus is protruding to the point that I feel like I have to urinate all the time. Evidently, I have a large cervix - - I overheard the doctor making a joke about it. I am going back to another doctor to see if there is any other lubricant I can use and wear the pessary again. I will not do surgery but I do not want my days constantly in pain - - feeling like I have to go to the bathroom all the time and I don't want to use an estrogen cream. Any suggestions are welcome. I am 69 YO - - too young to just sit around! Would honey help? I am so dry inside. Otherwise I would try to insert the pessary again on my own without seeing a doctor. I live in an area of doctors who are stuck in the dark ages.

uterine prolapse
Hi 289Shirley,
I had a very symptomatic uterine prolapse & associated problems. I found that regular, i.e. 1 of the WW dvd exercise sessions on most days, plus some extra key exercises like standing forward bend or cat posture, when I felt bad & needed some immediate aid & relief during the day, was the most effective treatment for pelvic organ prolapse for me.
Many women find pessaries uncomfortable & actually keep the vaginal passage open a bit. The group of women that appear to benefit most from pessaries are those with cystocele, using the pessary vertically.
I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't like my doctor to make fun of the size of my cervix. It's very personal & women often feel vulnerable when they are being examined. Seems a bit insensitive to me.
With love, wholewomanuk

Hi Shirley and welcome,
Hi Shirley and welcome,
The honey applied twice a day vaginally can be a great benefit for vaginal dryness. You will find that Christine talks about it quite a bit, and it is so much better for you than those nasty estrogen creams.
You may want to give your vagina a rest from the pessary right now, and try some of Christine's methods for relieving the pressure and symptoms that prolapse can give us. Go back to the home page and look at the video there; also do some reading around on this site, tool bar at the top. This work is for everyone of all ages, and has helped so many of us get our lives back.

Rectocele
I am going to a GPYN next week to check my rectocele which I was diagnosed with 3 years ago. My Dr says it is worse and had trouble locating my cervix during the pap. I also have lichen sclerosis (sine 2007). I sort of keep it under control. Probiotics seem to help very much. I have not tried the honey. 3 yrs ago - the GPYN told me she could fix it but while she was there - she would preform a hysterectomy. There was no medical reason for this. She did not explain pessaries. So I became concerned and did not go back. The one I am seeing now is a new Dr to me. I am 65. I have the video of First Aid Prolapse for Elders. Do I have the right video? Will it help me? I thought I had the book but am unable to locate it right now. Any other suggestions with either problem would be appreciated? Thank you.

Hi Want to know,
Hi Want to know,
The best thing to do right now is really throw yourself into the whole woman work. If the elders video isn't enough for you, look into the First Aid for Prolapse. Also really work on those posture principle all the time; this is especially effective during walking.
Christine also has had lichen sclerosis, and has talked about it extensively. You may want to check out her Vulva Vaginal Health DVD.
So, find that book, start really studying it, and do the work. This is the only way we can relieve the symptoms of prolapse.

Yes I agree - the Elders DVD is geared for women (of any age) who might have limited mobility. I recommend First Aid for Prolapse for everyone, because the depth and breadth of information found on it is what everyone needs. Doctors don't have much to offer to women with these conditions, other than a few very misguided suggestions like surgery and drugs. So take things into your own hands. Good luck to you - feel free to ask your questions here at any time. - Surviving
