Just starting WW - what to expect

Body:

Hello ladies,

I apologize if there are lots of other threads about this, I have searched a bit but it is hard to isolate this topic with a keyword search, and with 2 littles I have very little time to research.

So...I am 3 days into doing the posture. Trying to keep it all the time, and I feel exhausted!! My low back is achy and tired, my thighs are stiff from squatting, my tummy feels weird and I almost feel like I can't get enough breath. Is this just a normal transition? How long will it last, or am I maybe doing something wrong?

Also, although I was amazed that the air bubble and noise issues I was having seemed to go away at first with the posture, they will come back without much explanation as well. Wondering if it is happening when I do something out of posture....child-wrestling, etc. and then taking a while for the posture to get things back in order?

One more thing...is the exercise routine in First Aid something that you need to start doing regularly in order to facilitate the strength to achieve WW posture day to day, or should I think of it more as a WW-approved fitness program? Does that make sense?

I so appreciate your guidance, and, again, I apologize if this is already covered elsewhere.

The exercises help to strengthen and lengthen the body into posture, working those muscles most needed to shape your body more easily, but walking in posture is a great way to practice those posture details too.
I remember feeling some strain in the lower and upper back and other places in my body as well at first, but I was also trying to force the lumbar curvature and holding myself too stiffly. The posture needs to be relaxed. Concentrate on relaxing the belly without pushing it out and lifting your chest without pushing it out as well, with back broad and flat.
p.s. The DVD does give excellent visuals to watch and practice from.

Just take your time and relax and take a deep breath. You should get used to it soon. Just do a little at a time.
In no time at all you won't even think about it. I hurt when I first started. I AM DOING GOOD WITH IT NOW.
I INJOY MY WALKS . THAT IS WHAT KEEPS ME GOING. HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON.

I think I was trying too hard and forcing. More relaxed today and feeling better.

This is my second week learning to live with WW posture. No. 1 challenge is remembering all the details, then relax belly is also hard for me. Does relax belly means letting it go? I feel like I'm three months pregnant with belly sticking out lol!!
I have to give up my tight pants and jeans, sad. But if this is what it takes to help heal my prolapse, so be it!!

Relaxing the belly is indeed the hardest thing at first, for many if not most. Not wanting to look like I had a beer belly was what helped me always remember to lift my chest strongly. This combination is what creates/restores the lower lumbar curvature, and it's really quite sleek and beautiful. So let it happen! And yeah...you'll have to ban any wardrobe items that constrict your belly. It's quite a wonderful feeling. - Surviving
