When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

abortion
I don't know if there is an answer to this question......this forum isn't a medical platform in any way. I don't know anything much about these procedures. If you are a follower of WW then you understand what the primary pelvic dynamics are, which contribute the most to prolapse over time. But if obstetrical interventions during childbirth can be a factor, then certainly I would think any messing about down there has the potential to do the same. I highly doubt that one simple straightforward D&C (if that is what you're talking about) would cause prolapse, but I can't say. I don't know if anyone could. - Surviving

The power of now
Thankyou Surviving. Reading your reply has really helped me! Finally Ive let go of the 'why'
and Im embracing WholeWoman more than ever. I encourage women reading this forum to ask your questions that may be difficult to ask anywhere else in your life. I did and I'm not looking back!

Power of now
I've had horrendous posture all my life, so I've never spent much time pondering the "why" since discovering prolapse and learning how to manage it. If I did, I could certainly find lots of things I could point to....some of which surely contributed, others maybe, still others not at all. I'm sure every one of us has a list like this, and we'd all do things differently if we could go back in time.
I think it's most likely that the procedure you had, was not at all to blame. Statistically, most of us do end up with prolapse eventually. Many things can contribute, but the common thread for both the cause and the treatment, is how we learn, un-learn and then re-learn how to carry our bodies. It is such a huge and powerful discovery. It was life-changing for me, and I hope and pray every woman who comes here will stick with it and make it a part of their lives. I've gone through some fairly intense family health stuff in the last year or so, and I now know that there is no crisis that would ever cause me to "forget" to stay in posture - it's that ingrained now, after 6 years. So keep up the good work! - Surviving

causes of pop
Most of us on this forum have wondered why, when, what, how… caused our own particular pelvic organ prolapses. When you consider the majority of women suffer from pop at some point int heir lives, there are probably a myriad of different reasons for each & everyone one of us. I had an cesarian, episiotomy, wore ridiculously tight jeans when young, worked so hard I was out of touch with my body, pushed a car, skied in plough for many hours for many days, thought tucking tummy & bottom in was good for me & how I looked, had an extremely stressful job …. Who knows…We all have our life journeys…
Thankfully, whatever the causes or propensities, what we have in common is the WW treatment. The WW community is a population that has suffered - but from/with that suffering comes blessed relief & experienced wisdom to share, (not necessarily in a linear fashion!). For many of us, the journey has become a life-changing transformative experience.
