Just diagnosed with rectocele

Body:

I'm 25 and have 2 small children. I've been diagnosed with rectocele. I went to a colorectal surgeon referred by my GI. She told me only cure she knows is surgery. I plan to have more children G-d willing so that is not an option.
What can I do?

Hi lovemyfamily and welcome. Please avoid surgery - it's very risky and will permanently alter the dynamics of pelvic organ support. Whole Woman is the answer. Have a look around the site, maybe start by watching this video, and come on back with your questions. - Surviving

Hi lovemyfamily,
I developed rectocele during my 2nd pregnancy.
I wasn't informed like you will be by Whole Woman as to what it is or what you can do to help yourself.

My gynecologist told me not to worry about it, and I had a third baby no bother - the prolapses just get out of the way for the birth.
The main issue I had was the very large round bowel motions I would get post partum and the struggle I had to fix that. I ate too much dry fibre, and later worked out that 2 pieces of fruit daily - a pear and orange did the trick.

I somehow knew that when I found out what I had that surgery was not for me. When I realized what it could have done to me I am grateful that I listened to my intuition.

Christine's approach is holistic - I had developed painful hip issues, balance issues and had terrible posture over the years along with worsening prolapse, and nil quality of life, just as I discovered her work, four and a half years ago, and I will be forever grateful for my quality of life now, living in Whole Woman posture - pain free, strong body, great balance, and so much more..

Take advantage of this work, the posture and see yourself with lifelong benefits for your whole body now when you are young.

Best wishes,
Aussie Soul Sister

Hi @lovemyfamily- I'm 28 and I have not had kiddos yet, but we are planning to start within a year! My prolapse began from a chronic cough. I've read that it's totally fine to have children with prolapse! I'm just starting correct posture, avoiding bearing down on the toilet, and following Christine Kent's yoga videos. All the best on your journey!
