When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

no more straining
okay- my rectocele got worse after a long car trip- and I mean way worse- but it is back to base line now-took a week to see improvement.
you know with your pregnancy all those tissues are more puffy- so what you may think is worse could just be some swelling.
as for the straining- stop doing it- do what ever it takes. could you just go crazy with the flax seed and fruit smoothies and up your magnesium?

Yup, me too. I had two bad
Yup, me too. I had two bad coughs just recently, and my rectocele was MUCH bulgier. I also panicked, you can read my post. Things went back to how they were before like Alemama, and have stayed that way. It took a few days and careful attention to rest, food etc.
I also remember when I was pregnant EVERYTHING seemed so very swollen down there. I am sure this makes the rectocele seem bulgier than it truly is Bigmomma!
Hugs to you of course!

hey bigmama:
hey bigmama:
let me say first -- as i'm SURE you know -- pregnancy hormones are going to make everything feel more prominent. i've read a host of threads here about it and post partum, things most usually improve.
now, as to the recent bout of constipation...as was said in another response: stop the straining madness, mama! :) that said, i just went through a truly terrible period of constipation -- i was seriously impacted. horrible. when i got through it, i, too, felt the rectocele was more bulgey and, let me assure you, it FREAKED me out. i can tell you that at this point, things actually feel better than they ever have. i am being exceedingly dilligent with my diet -- lots of flaxseed, oatmeal, raw almonds, lentils, no wheat/sugar/dairy. taking grandma joy's probiotic. one package metamucil at night, some extra magnesium. things are going so much easier without the constipation and, in turn, the rectocele feels -- dare i say it? -- fine. i'm really pretty certain it will get there for you, too.
so, please try to relax about this. i think it's going to be just fine. probably the best thing you could do right now is to focus on you diet to keep things moving as easily as possible (though i do know that prenancy also makes constipation worse -- i remember that from when i was pregnant.) drinking enough water? do you like prune juice? maybe drink that every morning?
take care.

hi bigmomma
I did have a worsening of my rectocele following a 12 hr flight a few months ago, but things went back to baseline within a few days.
pg-wise I am lucky, I am craving things like oatmeal, oranges, apples and pears so I have not had constipation issues. but yes, everything in the vicinity is swollen, I'm not sure what is what anymore.

Thanks everyone!
Hey all,
Thanks to everyone for all the support! I guess I just needed to know that I didn't totally make everything worse forever. I am diligently making sure constipation is not an issue anymore with psyllium, extra water, extra magnesium, flax, prunes, and other good diet choices. I'm not sure what brought it on, but I think when you are pregnant, all bets are off! You all are right, when reminding me that everything feels bulgier down there, it does! I just was kind of FREAKED out and needed to be talked down.
Hugs to all

hi
HI
just today at lunch a friend of mine was saying how whe tried various acupuncture formula's for a person's constipation and they were not making much difference and then she used a three set formula told to us by our teacher and the client was able to have a bowel movement (2 in a day) regulararily after haveing had a chronic constipation problem. (i.e one b.m in five day's was her norm) she was really impressed.
I remember it was stomach 36, ren 6 and stomach 25. these were the three point's used, that were specifically for constipation. If you were going to go an acupuncturist perhaps ask her/him to try them alongside whatever other's they choose.
Of course they would have to tailor it to you, but this formula seem's like it would fit many types of constipation from a trad chinese med perspective.
Best wishes
Anne
