When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

nature's platform and squatting
Jonathan (??? I believe that's what his name was???) from Nature's Platform used to post over here every now and then. don't remember the whole exchange but he and Christine didn't exactly see eye to eye in terms of not squatting for toileting being the cause of modern day prolapse (he thought yes, christine thought not, I believe).
any way, I did the squatting thing for a while. not with the platform, just balanced on the toilet (and personally I found barefoot the way to go for balance) and while it was easier to pass stool, it felt not-so-good to my cystocele. too much pressure.
so I stopped and switched to the 'lean forward onto your feet and raise your bum slightly off the seat' and you know what? after a few times it gets easy to do AND it just felt like everything was in a better position. rather than straightening out the rectum (as in squatting) it kinda pulls the rectum up and over the vagina. at least that's what it feels like to me.
full disclosure statement: I'm also a bit biased against full squatting, I birthed my last baby in full squat and I think that did a real number on my perineum.

very interesting
I was using the method you described in your post, but it wasn't working. So I tried squatting. Part of me feels its natural and part of me feels I am bent to much. (Someone should do research on this- hard core research)
I will say that I was having a VERY HARD time with the splitting thing and while in this squat I was able to explore and become familiar with 'stuff'. This position seemed to make that bulge very easy to find. I was having a lot of trouble the other way. So for a newbie this was good.

do what works
we're all figuring this out as we go along, there is no absolute 'right' or 'wrong' way to deal with a prolapse. so if squatting works for you, do it! you'll know if its not.
