Posture Kneeling Chair

Body:

Hello Everyone!

Hope everyone is doing wonderful and feeling the joy of the upcoming holidays.
Although i love my job i can't wait for a break to be away from this desk and chair!! i find myself sitting at the very edge of my chair b/c sitting all the way back is very uncomfortable.
I was looking for posture chairs and i came across the "Posture Kneeling Chair" and am wondering if this kind of chair would be of any benefit to someone with Rectocele/Cystocele? Does anyone use something other that regular 'ol office chairs--something i could use at the office?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Have a good evening.

Marcella:

I recently purchased a kneeling chair at Office Depot. I sit in front of my computer for approx. 6-8 hours per work day. I am comfortable with the kneeling chair. You can still achieve bad posture while sitting in this chair so you do need to be mindful of how you are sitting but the chair does make sense with our conditions. Both my massage therapist and chiropractor thought the chair would help. I alternate between the kneeling chair and a regular chair from Pier One that I found and I sit as Christine suggests in her book. With this type of regular chair you need to be careful not to sit with your legs too far apart and your feet need to positioned straight forward - otherwise, you will over extend yourself and this is quite painful! You need to sit kinda like you are riding a horse! My massage therapist also suggested a saddle chair but I opted for the kneeling chair. I also find that getting up and just walking around for a few minutes each hour is helpful when you are seated at your desk or computer for long periods of time.
