Hi

I am new to this great site and new to having a rectocele after 6 vaginal deliveries... the last 4 months ago!

Many thanks for such informative, empathic readings on forum!

I have just, minutes ago, finished reading the book, and feel very empowered ... I must say I was septic before I started reading but everything made sense as I am a firm believer and practioner of female intuition. In the last three months I have been trying to find alternative ways on how to heal myself and I am now embarking on this long journey like so many of us.

The book has given me some power back on how to start at the begining and built upon. I was concentrating too much on seeking outside help. Thank you, Christine for putting things right.

I have a few questions:

On page 166 on rectocele, in the self care chapter you mention "highly energetic diet and quality mouvements". Could you explain a bit more?

You suggest do lots of squatting. I feel the bulge stretching on back wall and coming down. Is this safe and normal?

I have to wait 15 weeks before I see a gyn. Do you think it is necessary to see one, (I am sure of my symptoms)?

Thank you again
Gala

Welcome to Whole Woman, Gala,

You have the mindset to do very well with this work and I hope you

Why couldn't one just use the posture when "sitting on the throne?" I do and am fine with it. We do when sitting in the chair or walking - why not with "business as usual."

Yes, you can push your weight forward and that is what I do too, but it's really not the same. In standing and in squatting, our torso is essentially hanging from our hip joints. This allows for a fully stretched spine and the natural positioning of our internal pelvic structures. When we sit on the "throne" :D the free flowing energy that should move to the tip of our tailbone is blunted by our buttocks and thighs against the rim of the seat. The result is that our pelvic structures (vagina and rectum) don't get fully stretched in the right direction, and also receive intraabdominal pressures they would be better off without.

Sybille...did your grandbaby arrive?

Not yet - still a few more weeks. Mommy seems to be doing just fine -over the first trimester "sickies." Thank you, Christine, for asking.
