Try Meditation Tape

Body:

Hi, Everyone!!

Today is my sharing day. I've discovered a lot of information (see Important Pessary Information) over the past two months, and I want to pass it along.

I have never practiced meditation before - but a Doctor who is a friend and who knows that I've been having prolapse problems suggested that I begin taking time during the day to meditate.

So, I went to Borders Book Store and found a meditation tape that is really, really great. It is done by Dr. Mitchell Gaynor. He is an oncologist, internist and hematologist; an author; founder and president of Gaynor Integrative Oncology in N.Y.; and an Assistant Clinical Professor of medicine at Weill-Cornell Medical College.

The tape is for anyone who wants to meditate and bring peace into her thoughts and life (he uses it for his cancer patients).

Dr. Gaynor teaches you imagery on the tape - and there is chanting derived from the Vedas (which are thought to be the oldest scripures in the world) in the background - and also chanting and music alone on certain parts of the tape. There are 5 tracks, and each one addresses a different subject. There's an introduction where he speaks about meditation and how it can affect your life, and then there's meditation for Radiating Harmony, Creating Hope, Infinite Light, and Inner Peace. He guides you into abdominal breathing through which you bring in blue light on one track, and then golden light on another track (similar to Christine's golden ball at the beginning of her exercises). You bring the light into your body and radiate it out of your body and into the Universe. It sounds strange if you haven't heard this before - but, trust me! - this tape works!!!

I use the tape with headphones, since you get a stronger effect when you are blocking out any outside sounds from the room. But you don't have to use headphones.

I have absolutely no connection with Dr. Gaynor and hadn't heard about him until I found this tape.

You can purchase the tape alone - "Meditations for Sound Healing" (there's a small booklet with the tape that explains what sound healing is about and what's on the tape)- or I purchased the tape in a 2-tape set - "Meditations and Music for Sound Healing." The second tape is all chanting and music using various instruments. The two tapes use singing bowls, keyboards, flute, percussion, soprano sax, & harmonium.

I can't say enough good things about the meditation tape. After listening to it, or even part of it, you feel so much better. It just opens up a new pathway in your life.

So, if you need some relaxation and de-stressing in your life, you might want to try this tape.

Thank you, I think I'll try it. Kit
