Christine I Am Crying With Joy!

Body:

OK...I just have to say that I received my Whole Woman bundle today and I am reading Saving The Whole Woman with tears of joy streaming down my face. Just to know that there is hope for me. To know that surgery isn't the only answer. Thank you Christine Kent for turning over a new leaf in women's health. To know that I can help myself to become healthy and whole again means the world to me. I am 59 years old, third stage cystocele (happened less than a month ago) and until I found your site I felt so alone and lost. Now I feel like I am armed with a new appraoch to a healthier me. So again I thank you and to all the Whole Women on this site I say....Take time to appreciate your womanhood. Take time to take care of and nurture yourself. For so many years I put myself on the back burner and now my health has suffered. I can never go back...And I will not mourn what was or could have been...but I can move forward with hope and with a clear program to regain my wellbeing and health.

Wow, thanks for this post, it is so great to read, so encouraging! Yeah, it is just not worth it to look back and mourn! Great reminder for us too!

Good morning clavicula...It just seems that I have a new opportunity to learn and live. I think this is becoming a life journey. A month ago, when I had the third stage prolapse of my bladder I was horrified and scared. Then I found this wonderful site and knew I wasn't alone in this battle to save my health. Here, at Whole Woman, I have found renewed hope and acceptance. A reason to rejoyce and move forward. Wishing you a blessed day....Rose

Thank you, SweetRoseMarie, for your lovely words. Yes, as the world of women begins to understand that prolapse and incontinence are *only* under their own control, the devastation of the female side of humanity will come to an end. It is important to realize that urogynecology was created around these conditions and quite truly has nothing to offer women! Perhaps the occasionally well-fitting pessary or referral to a helpful PT, but other than that, their treatments are based on misconception of how the female body functions. We are changing that, no doubt. :) Christine

I agree Christine. Change is in the air for women's health. Taking back our bodies and our spirits from the misguided medical community. I will not say they are wrong on every account.....BUT.....On some points they seem to turn a blind eye. They continue on with their *possibly well intentioned surgery* even though that very same surgery is causing undue pain and misery. Without admitting that this avenue of approach is a failure they will continue to harm rather than help. I will never say that, in the future, surgery will not enter inhto my life. With a multitude of health issues I may face that hurdle again one day. I will say, however, that a fresh new approach to an age old problem brings us hope that we can recover our health and free our spirits. So I take my baby steps and I enjoy each moment in time.
