When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

good luck!
i don't have much wisdom, just to say good luck & try to relax. do lots of breathing. be sure they know your passage may not be as straight as they might assume. and remember you don't have to make any decisions then and there about anything.
re fissure / hems--i really really recommend Neem oil. it's smells horrible till it dries, but has been quite miraculous for me. i get constant fissures (every few weeks) and they weren't healing before. with the neem oil they heal much faster. i use Neem and aloe vera and it really helps heal them quickly (and i've been using Neem ongoingly and have less fissuress--if i'd just not eat any chocolate or dairy i'd probably have none!)
also supposed to help with hems.
take care!!!

I'm going to the colorectal dr. on the 16th. I am not excited. What is the first visit like? I've been having horrible bm issues. Consip/soft mush back and forth.

Thanks Kiki. I really
Thanks Kiki. I really appreciate the support. My husband is taking me so I don't have to drive home after the scope. The cramping can be fairly bad for about an hour after.

It's over and I survived
Well, I made it through! The enemas were the worst part. They triggered my levator muscles to spasm twice(made worse by anxiety, I'm sure). I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy and an anoscope. It all took about an hour. The good news is my colon is clean and the whole experience, while it was painful, did not make my rectocele any worse. Hopefully the spasms will calm down today. I had a total of five of them yesterday.
Thanks for the support!

mom30 first visit
I'm sorry I'm just replying to your question about a first visit to colorectal. It's been a crazy week. This was not actually my first visit, but it really wasn't any different than the first time I went. I had to arrive early for enema prep. After 2 enemas the doctor came in and did a digital exam. Then he scoped me with the flexible sigmoidoscopy. It scopes about 25 inches of your colon. It is very uncomfortable(but really no worse than the enema prep). After that I had an anoscope to look for fissures, etc. Then you can get dressed and the doctor comes back in to talk to you. There might be some cramping after the scope(or maybe you won't get scoped). It only lasts about an hour at most. All in all, it's worse thinking about it than actually having it all done. I'm glad mine is over and I will be thinking of you on Monday. Please let us know how you make out.
P.S. It's been 5 days since I had mine and my rectocele is no worse(praise God).
