When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!

totally normal
the uterus is a thick strong muscular organ!
Try elbows and knees too for tipping the uterus back towards the front.
Enema is your best friend. No more straining. That pain you felt was probably ligamental pain.
If you can do elbows and knees for at least 30 min that would be great. Take deep breaths and meditate- drop into child's pose when you get tired- then back up to elbows and knees. Move into cat/cow (on hands and knees) and back to resting elbows and knees.
It will get better for sure. Early days!

elbows and knees to tip uterus to front
thank you so much alemama
I actually did that elbows and knees intuitively for a bit and it makes me feel better knowing it's actually suggested!
I will go now and do it for half an hour, alternating with child's pose as needed,
should I be doing cat pose often throughout that half an hour do you think?
do you know if an enema with just water can help? I can't use any chemicals, drugs, preservatives etc (severely sensitive)
if water alone is helpful, I'm wondering how much water I should use and if I can boil filtered water, cool it and use that or if I need to buy sterile water
I hope I don't seem pushy or annoying asking all of these questions. I am a person who normally is very self-sufficient and doesn't ask for help so this is a big shift for me.
thank you again for the knees and elbows. it felt good to do and I'm going to go do it for a long time now. :-)

Freaked out
Hi Salt, I also have a prolapsed uterus, and my cervix can get very low as I get near my period as well. I also found it quite freaky to feel the cervix so firm and longish. No wonder when it was really low I felt like a tampon was out of place, it is so hard and pokey. I now know that around ovulation my cervix does soften and kind of spread out. My uterus goes way off to the left, sometimes more than others. Before my POP I had no idea that these organs moved around so much.
My POP sensations vary quite wildly over the month of my cycle. I kept track of how things felt for a few months, and came to see that I usually feel good after my period, I often feel my POP around ovulation for a few days and then about one week before my period I feel it again. Now that I know this, I no longer freak out when I have a day where it is more bothersome, because I know that it passes and also I know to do things, like the exercises Alemama describes, to make it better on those days.
I have been doing the WW posture and exercises for about a year now. I can say that it has made a big difference. When my uterus starts to feel lowish I find that sitting pulled up strongly in WW posture, or sitting cross-legged in WWP changes the feeling quite quickly now. For me it seems that even a small shift of the uterus/cervix forward makes it feel much better and normal. Good luck, it takes time but it does feel better after awhile.

re freaked out
hi hockeymom,
your words 'firm and longish' describe what I feel exactly! I'm relieved to know it's not just me.
and it's really encouraging to hear that even though it regularly gets worse at certain times of your cycle, it still goes back to being better at other times!
there is so much in your reply that relates to what I'm experiencing. I appreciate it so much :) thank you
it's so hopeful to read how quickly you feel shifts now when you do WW stuff if the POP had been feeling low.
