When I first “cracked the code” on stabilizing and reversing prolapse, and wrote and published Saving the Whole Woman, I set up this forum. While I had finally gotten my own severe uterine prolapse under control with the knowledge I had gained, I didn’t actually know if I could teach other women to do for themselves what I had done for my condition.
So I just started teaching women on this forum. Within weeks, the women started writing back, “It’s working! I can feel the difference!”
From that moment on, the forum became the hub of the Whole Woman Community. Unfortunately, spammers also discovered the forum, along with the thousands of women we had been helping. The level of spamming became so intolerable and time-consuming, we regretfully took the forum down.
Technology never sleeps, however, and we have better tools today for controlling spam than we did just a few years ago. So I am very excited and pleased to bring the forum back online.

Remember, the forum is here for two reasons. First, to get your questions answered by other women who have knowledge and experience to share. Second, it is the place to share your results and successes. Your stories will help other women learn that Whole Woman is what they need.
Whether you’re an old friend or a new acquaintance, welcome! The Whole Woman forum is a place where you can make a difference in your own life and the lives of thousands of women around the world!
Best wishes,

Hi Nana5 and welcome. I'm
Hi Nana5 and welcome. I'm glad that you saw through your gyn's totally inappropriate and dangerous recommendation. Suggesting surgery for "slight" cystocele and rectocele is one of the things that is terribly terribly wrong in this world, and will be set right only when women like you simply say no.
The gas and hard stools definitely indicate a need to work on your diet. Splinting is OK, straining is not. There has been a lot of discussion on these forums about keeping things moving easily through the system. I'm not the diet guru and what works for some won't work for all. Magnesium, a good probiotic, staying reasonably hydrated are a few of the easier suggestions but you can browse around. Obviously, identifying and cutting down on foods that make you the most gassy should be a priority.
I have rectocele and cystocele and have been doing this work over 3 years (starting at 60). I also have a very irritable bowel myself, and it bothers me less than it used to. I think this is because I have worked on controlling stress, made some better food choices, avoided eating large meals, and really really trained my body and mind in this posture. Keeping the spine, hips and pelvic organs in proper positions relative to each other, seems to lend more control to all the functions below the waist. Is this largely mental rather than physical? I don't know. I still make a lot of bathroom trips during the day but I don't have the types of occurrences I once did. WW is a very holistic approach to healthy living.
You can get a lot of information from the website, the forum, the blog and library of articles, from videos in the Resources section (I urge you to start with that first video if you have not already viewed it). There are lots of descriptions of the posture on the forum. But you will need, minimally, the book and/or the FAFP dvd if you are really going to do this work. I started with only the book for the first year, then the basic dvd, and one by one built up my collection over the years. The bundles are a great deal for those who can invest a bit more up front. What matters is getting a start on learning these concepts and not waiting another day to apply them. Best of luck to you! - Surviving

Hi, I am also a mother of 5 all VB and I am also experciencing some major bowel issues that keep me wondering what on earth is going on. My gyn does not go fully into rectocele and cystocele but by the definition I have both. When I sit on the toilet things feel stuck or blocked, but yesterday when I went to the store I was walking around expelling gas all the way and it is embarassing.
I only have Christine's book so far, but yes what Surviving is saying is all true, and it is what has kept me (surviving) up to this point. But yes, diet is also very important, and staying away from wheat and dairy help alot. So does eating soaked apricots in the morning and taking Dr. Shultz, Intestinal #1 capsules.
Aloe tablets and liquids, there are many things you can experiment around with to help you.
But I totally feel for what you are saying and experiencing and it is why I joined this forum and it has helped me immensely feel better about myself and come up with ideas to get me through. And the WW posture is great and so are Christine's kegels. Some I can do, some I can't, she has a very flexible torso but mine does not move quite so freely. But I do what I can and with the support this forum is wonderful! Keep reading and reasearching and you will find alot of ideas.
The sex with my husband also never happens because I am feeling bad about myself and my condition. A friend of mine is ordering me 'sylk' it is a natural lubricant so I will try that and see if my husband still responds to me after all this time?
Thank you for your post, it is good to support one another in our quest for health and wholeness!!

Thanks!
I could have sworn I put in a reply and thanks to you both but, I cannot find it. Maybe hit the wrong button? Anyways thanks again for your help. Surviving60, I will indeed check out the site more and see what I can find. Rose54, I have indeed been in the same situation when I have been out shopping. Not good. :/ I work in a Daycare type setting and when someone mentions they smell a dirty diaper, even if I have not passed gas I think they can smell my issue. Crazy isn't it??? But, I do. My life lately has NOT been great. So happy I found this site and friends who can help.

Hi, fortunately I work mostly from home, but when I am around others in a social situation at times and usually the wrong times I feel like I have to have a bowel movement and that can be quite akward. So far I have always made it but it is nerve wracking! But I do not feel we are alone!!
I'll see if I can find something that can help control 'gas problems' my husband actually has more than i do!
Talk with you soon!

Hi Rose54! I went ahead and
Hi Rose54! I went ahead and got some Magnesium like Surviving60 suggested to try. Maybe that will work. I do want to look into those pills you suggested if indeed the magnesium does not work. I am not sure you will find anything for the gas that I have not tried but, maybe. I am hoping so because maybe you might find something that works! Thanks again...Pam
