Still having problems with BMs

Body:

Hi Everyone! I have been trying to cope with all this knowledge that is jammed pack in here. And I must say it is a lot to take in at first! I came to the forum a while back to ask about constipation and rectocele. I resolved the constipation problem but it still seems that my BMs do not want to come out by themselves. The only way I can do that is if I have diaherra. Other than that I am still splinting and hating it. I am finally ordering book and DVD this week. YAY! But, until then I am at my wits end. Thanks for all your support.

Hi Nana - Some women with rectocele have to splint at least some of the time, others do not. If you do, then it's possible that you could still make some improvements in diet and lifestyle that would help - even if you don't consider yourself "constipated" anymore. Meanwhile, splinting is better than straining any day. I wouldn't let any more time pass before getting seriously started on this posture work, to get those organs into a better position. Plenty to get you started on this site while you are waiting for your bundle to arrive. - Surviving

I've been away from the site for a while and I'm sure I've missed a few things, but what the heck is splinting?

Splinting is inserting a finger or two into the vagina, and pushing the rectocele bulge to gently create a straighter path for the stool so it isn't getting caught in the bulge. - Surviving
