Slide back after D&C procedure

Body:

Has been a long time since I did not post anything on the forum.
Was for a long time without symptons of bulging or pain, or anything, only a bit of urinary incontinence, but have just order the program, but always my posture is in my daily living.
Since about 5 years ago, I was suffering, from sigmoidcele, also uterine and bladder prolapse, the whole package, this site has helped me tons, but the years go by, and I got better and better.

Need help or advise from experienced ladies here,

I am 43 yrs old, and did not want more kids, but I got pregnant, anyways, was a surprise.
But sadly, at 8.4 weeks baby's heart was not beating anymore, and I had a missed miscarriage,
so had to do a D&C procedure at the hospital to get everything out.

But sadly, the gyno did not a good job, and it was incomplete, left me with lots of bleeding for 2 weeks, and said to me that had to do another Dilatation and Curatage, I was almost getting crazy, when she told me that, already I was in horrible pain down there, from the procedure.

What I did was, went to herbalist and gave me herbs to cleanout my uterus, I could not bear another D&C after all the agonizing pain I had already, but worser of all, is that I feel the bulge in my vagina very clearly, that comes from the back vaginal wall, in the first week that was painfull as hell. Second week got better, this third week, not so much pain, but this feeling of a ball, in my vagina, is getting my nuts.

When I have to poop, the bulge disappears , but during the day I start feeling it again, and by night, completely full.
It's horrible, I feel that I am back at the beginning when all this prolapse nightmare started years ago.
And this has been caused from D&C procedure I did 3 weeks ago.

I do my posture the whole time, but can not sit upright on my bottom yet , its very painfull, and when I walk , I have the bulging in my vagina, the whole time.

Any advise on what else I can do , besides the posture?

Need help

Hi Shekina - you have had a serious setback for your prolapse, but with time and care, I think you can overcome it. I was reading back on your history a little, and it seems your body has been through this several times before. You are still healing from this last procedure, and time and rest will go a long way.

I would suggest spending as much time as possible down on the floor on hands and knees, in a comfortable stretch, letting your organs gently rest in the lower belly. You can rock your body softly back and forth to help this along. It should feel wonderful and it will get the pressure off and help your organs find their correct positions. Yoga Second Wheel might feel good (I know you have some DVDs, don't remember which).

As you continue to heal, work some regular firebreathing into your routine. Bend forward from the hips and gently jiggle your organs into the belly whenever you feel the need. Don't abandon WW posture ever! If the bulge worsens through the day, then perhaps you are falling out of posture without realizing it. Be kind to yourself! Don't get discouraged. - Surviving

Hi Surviving60,

Thank you for your support, appreciate very much,
and yes, I have been through many miscarriages, followed by
a D&C procedure, sometimes I think that because of all
these procedures I have gotten these prolapses.
But I have to get better again, will follow your advices, and give
my body the time it needs to heal.

Hi Shekina,
Thank you for your post. It does sound as if the D&C has triggered another prolapse. Ugh! My heart goes out to you. So - renewed awareness & engagement with the WW work. I've also experienced relapses. Initially I'd either feel tearful. But as time goes on, (in my case prolapse prevention & management appears to be a long term, possibly life long process), it gets easier. Hey ho, back to the drawing board/square one…. In your case, you've had a pretty extreme experience which has triggered this set back. Sounds like you were doing pretty well. The indications are that once your symptoms have gradually improved, you will feel better again. Another major set back seems unlikely without another major trigger.

You haven't mentioned exercises. I thoroughly recommend anyone with pelvic organ prolapse to invest int heir health by investing in some exercise resources. 5 years on I'm still following my WW yoga dvd's. I find the WW exercises offer a fast track to improvement. Especially when things are not going so well, I find them a significant element of my path to recovery & management of pop.

Wishing you all the best,

Hi Wholewoman Uk,

Thanks so much for your input, advices, really appreciate,
for about 5 years I have been doing so well, these 2 last years were even more years awesome, I could tell that I
was doing soooooo good, only a bit of urinary incontinence, but I could sit, bend , move with no problems at all, and yes after this procedure, I felt some days hopeless, thinking, "again in this horrible situation"
but as the days go by, the body is healing, and there is hope, there is willingness to improve, and thank God for this work of Christine, I feel I am not alone, I feel that here you find encouragement, and that brings the life back in to me.

I think that in fact this is a life long process, but it is possible, and I think it is manageable.
And true, will get the dvd's that I yet don't have, which are really important too.

Thanks again,
Shekina
