Best Sleep Position for Prolapse?

I am wondering if there is a most helpful sleep position for uterine prolapse? (I have cystocele also, if that makes a difference.)I am a long-term stomach sleeper, but can sometimes sleep on my side w/a body pillow. Since the prolapse, I often wake w/a strong lower backache. I also frequently get the sesation that my bladder is full, when it is actually not, when laying in bed. Any replies & advice would be appreciated.

We have a bitter sweet blessing. Our house isn't leveled. We live in a older home built by an artist. Its artistic. What does this have to do with sleeping? Since its not leveled I've arranged the bed with the head of the bed tilting downward. I'm using gravity to my advantage. Its a subtle tilt but I do feel a difference when I wake up in the morning.

I havent noticed any position being better - I am a side sleeper and seems to be ok - Maybe it's your mattress giving you backache?

To make sure your bladder is empty try double micturation - Go to the loo - pee - get up - walk around room for a minute - or just stand then sit - works for me lol - Then sit down and pee again - I always find it works best if I hold my breath for a moment then slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwly breathe out and it seems to empty the bladder pretty well :)

Maybe stomach sleeping is aggravating it - Try the side for a few days and see how it feels...

That is a great story. Since we spend so much time sleeping (well, not really when we have babies, but in theory!) it seems like there should be a position we can use to make the most of this time & maximize healing. I have wondered about putting a small pillow under my hips to mimic the lumbar curve in the Whole Woman Posture. Now that I have been practicing the posture as much as I can, I feel uncomfortable when not in it.

You could try it. Different things work for different people. I found it little help for sleeping but great for missionary position sex as it makes all your pelvic floor muscles tight as a drum!!! 8-D
