I am not wanting to put the team at risk with my medical situation...just wondering...

Pudendal Neuralgia & Prolapse

I had a rectocele prolapse op 5 years ago which has left me with pudendal nerve neuralgia. A rare, badly supported in Uk (which is where i am) and i believe US, condition, which is painful beyond belief. I am on massive doses of Gabapentin (a nerve drug), which doesn't block the pain enough and my doctor doesn't have a clue.

Dealing with constipation and a Rectocele.

I am a 70 year old woman who has had a rectocele for several years. I have seen doctors who think surgery would be a good idea but I am very worried about trying that. Of course the doctors tell you not to strain....which is hard to do if you are constipated! I am sure each woman had somewhat different symptoms with a rectocele. In my case, I have a soft bowl movement each morning, but in the afternoon, I find myself very constipated and with that horrid bulging at the opening of my vagina. I also have a big urge to "go" but can not do it.

How to forget prolapse ** Warning Aussie humour**

I developed rectocele after having kids. Having my first child dragged out of me by forceps with me feeling the pull against my muscles did not help. Around 5 years later I encountered issues requiring splinting but other than that I was oblivious about my posture. Twenty years later and the march of menopause brought everything to the fore. Thank goodness for this site it has helped so much.

Surprise my insides are falling out!

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum. I just turned 60 on July 12th and everything about my body is rapidly changing. I've been pretty healthy so far with no major issues and try to eat right. I've been lazy with exercise for the last two years.

Rectocele plus IBS advice please

Forum:

I hope I'm in the right section here..I have never joined a forum before . I am 63 and just diagnosed with rectocele . My gp has told me that I must be sure to include plenty of fibre etc within my diet to avoid straining in the future . However I have had IBS for twenty years and fibre aggravates this terribly . I am now at a loss what in fact I can eat to help myself . I'm slightly confused and a bit overwhelmed . I would appreciate any advice given .

New and struggling :(

Hello everyone

I am 42 years old, live in the UK and had my son 5 years ago and it was a forceps birth with episitomy. 

20 years old with prolapse

Hello I'm new here. 9 weeks ago I had my baby. I was enduced. I only pushed for 45 minutes and my baby weighed 7lbs 2 oz. I am 5 feet and was 135 at the time. I believe I have a rectocele and a urethrocele. I am young and I love running and working out. I am also breast feeding. Is there any possibility this could be temporary? I am getting depressed there are so many things I want to do with my baby boy. I was washing dishes and it started to bleed and I do leak a little. I just want to know if it could be temporary . Has anyone's gone away with time after having a baby?

Post hysterectomy with rectocele needs advice!!!

Hello, I am struggling with rectocele. I am 46 years old and I had a hysterectomy about 10 years ago. Past 6-9 months my constipation got unbearable and could not rid myself of all of the waste. I am very active. I workout/exercise daily. I went to a gastro doctor and he diagnosed me with rectocele. He suggested surgery but red flags flew up for me. I am currently taking a medication to help empty out. My eating habits are very healthy and high fiber. I drink a lot of water every day. I am so frustrated and depressed over this.
