Clothes

Do you all have a favorite store (mail-order if not nation-wide) where you buy flattering clothes - especially skirts and/or dresses? I'm finally trying to switch over from my beloved jeans because I really just can't keep doing this to myself - plus, my husband confessed to me the other day that he thinks skirts are always sexier ;). But looking in the main stores about town I'm not finding much that isn't constricting, is super casual (I am home with a 5 and 2 year old, after all) is made of breathable natural materials, etc. So I'm up for suggestions.

Hips, knees, feet

I had sort of an AHA moment earlier today. I've been doing the WW workout from the book for only about a week and I thought standing in 1st & 2nd position that my hips seem to turn out pretty well (of course I've got no model to compare to, so maybe not). But at any rate it's challenging but not overly difficult to feel like I've got my hips rotating outward.

homeopathy

Hi

I know we've discussed acupuncture and chiro. on and off on the forum but i rarely hear of anyone using homeopathy and I saw it referred to on sites like abc of homeopathy. Just wondering if anyone's tried it out. I love to hear how a multifaceted holistic approach can work for us and our 'celes.

acupuncture point between the legs for prolpase

Hi

As I mentioned elsewhere I'm home and practicing acupuncture now in Ireland, but during my summer holiday in Canada, I went back to the acupuncturist I used to go to for treatments when i was training (an amazing woman called Susan Hu on the danforth across from the big carrot in a place called 'the best of chinese medicine for anyone living there), and I asked her to do a point on me we hadn't learned in school. And to teach me how to do it on others just in case I had a client with prolapse who wanted it. (I've never had a clients with prolapse by the way)

question

Hey Ladies. So lately I've been brave enough to do some more extensive self examination of my vaginal area. I thought that I just had a huge cystocele...but it's actually a significant rectocele meeting my cystocele in the middle(explains the severe rectal/perineal pain and pressure I've had ever since my epidural wore off). I guess I'm just a little confused b/c my OBGYN said that I did not tear in my perineal area. Now...I know that I did to some degree b/c I have some scar tissue and tenderness there.

I'm a sea sponge newbie. Help me!!

Hi,
I have some cystocele as a result of my recent birth (14 weeks ago now) and have been working with a PT on it, which is helpful. She suggested part-time use of a pessary, and I decided I'd try sea sponges first, to see if they worked for me. So I got mine in the mail yesterday and when I felt things slipping out of place today, I figured I'd try it out.

moisturizers, a good doctor who will work with people who prefer not to go the surgical route.

Has anyone found a vaginal moisturizer that keeps the vaginal walls from getting dry with a POP? I'm afraid to use things that say for external use only but I do feel that my stage 3 little bulge should be moisturized with something that will not lead to infection. Any ideas from personal experience? I'm not talking about a lubricant.

Question about antidepressants

Hi,

I've been trying to Google this to no avail, wondering if there's a chance someone here would know. I take Lexapro. I know that you all probably have some great suggestions for other ways to deal with depression, and I'm all ears - but I don't take going on or OFF of medication lightly because of the devastating impact another major depressive episode would have on my family, especially the kiddos.

coccyx pain

hi
i have an astonishingly painful coccyx. i sometimes can barely get up to standing from sitting. do you think it could be related to my prolapse? this thought only just occured to me- i has been painful for about the same amount of time I had the prolapse, come to think of it. 6 months post partum with no.2....does anyoe know anything about coccux pain being related to prolapse? And how can I fix it, the pain is excrutiating.
Many thanks

Hey, here's something funny!

Hi All

I was just on Yahoo Australia, looking to find out if there were any POP groups. THis is what I found at the bottom of the Yahoo screen.
"
1 - 2 of 2
YAHOO!7 SPONSOR RESULTS

eBay: Find Pelvic Organ Prolapse
www.eBay.com.au - Join 5 million Australians on eBay. Buy, sell, and have fun on eBay."

Now why didn't we think of that before? We could just sell our POP's on e-Bay!!! Think of the heartbreak and pain we could avoid!

Yeah, OK ... in ya dreams!

Cheers

Louise
