My story

Hi,

mucosal lining prolapse and pregnancy

Hi all,
I'm new here and have bought the book, I'm slowly working my way through it. I have a 3 yr old by csection and a 1 year old by homebirth, who presented with an elbow over the nose and a hand over the opposite ear. That birth gave me a severe second degree tear that healed with a keloid scar, and two subsequent surgeries to repair the tear. Since those two surgeries (about six months ago), I've had two instances of straining to poop, and what I think is a mucosal lining prolapse. To make it more exciting, I just found out I'm pregnant.

tenderness in lower abdomen

A weird thing happened yesterday. I had been paying special attention to my posture, and low and behold my cystocele quit bulging when I stood up. HOWEVER, every time I moved or picked up something or coughed, I felt a tenderness (not quite a pain) in my lower abdomen, between my naval and my pubic area. Has anyone experienced this after posture work or do I need to check with an MD about what else might be going on? THanks if you can help me. I'm leaving for the wilderness on Saturday so I don't want to be there with a problemo. (not so) discouraged.

could prolaspe be causing infertility?

Ever since my first child, I've had problems with cystocele. Now, my husband and I have been trying to get prego for over 2 years. We conceived our first child with absolutely no problems. Has anyone had any problems with their prolaspe and not being able to get pregnant. My OB insists that it is completely unrelated! But, nothing else has changed...

bulging at the perineum?

Christine,

In another post you mention "The reality is you are much (the urogynecology literature states 500%) more likely to experience further prolapse symptoms, the most common being another rectocele – this time a very difficult bulging at the perineum;"

Vitamin C and Prolapse - My Story

Hi All

I finally have a little bit of time to tell you my story and what I found helped me.
To make a 10 month story very short.... Very uncomfortable January last, I couldn't figure
out what I was feeling... was scared and worried - did lots of reading and research online
and FINALLY found this site - and had all my questions answered! The posture is amazing - organs over pubic bone is the best answer!!! kegals are questionable.. in my experience..

Nada chair?

Has anyone heard of this or tried it?

new with questions

Hi. I'm new, with lots of questions. I would like to share my full story(and probably will later) but it's late and I have some questions so here it is in a nutshell.

An Aha! moment for postpartum mums and WW posture

Hi All

As I was cuddled up in bed this morning after ....

No, let's start that again! I was thinking this morning about the postpartum problem of separation of the rectus abdominus, that all of us dread; that whole pointy belly thing.

It occurred to me that it only happens for two reasons. The first is that the transverse abdominus is such a big ole stretched sling after 9 months of supporting a belly, and needs to be toned up with ballet workout.

Improvement!

I haven't checked in here for weeks but just wanted to say that I've bought Christine's book and read it from cover to cover. Just practicing the posture has helped enormously as has the advice on how to empty the bladder properly. I had an appointment with a gynaecologist the other week who said my prolapse was not too bad and certainly he wouldn't recommend surgery. Whoopee! He seemed glad when I said I didn't want surgery anyway. From what I could gather, it seems improved since I saw my GP. I feel very hopeful and can't express enough my gratitude for finding this site and the book.
