I got the peri balm and I'm not really sure how you are supposed to use it on the perineum (massage daily? just use if something is irrated?) I'd love more info on that. But it was fantastic on my hemorrhoids. Totally made me forget they were even there. (After they resurfaced as a result of my ill-conceived squatting experiment!)

In case anyone was interested I found out why my Proplase is just on one side. I found out that:-

* Midline weakness allows bladder to desend causing central cystocele

*Tearing of endopelvic fascial connections from lateral sulic to arcus tendinii causes lateral or displacement cystocele (this must be what has happened to me)

*Detachment of pubocervical fascial from pericervical ring causes a transverse or apical cystocele

I have been dealing with a chronic cough for the last several years, and for the last 3 years I have started getting several severe bouts of bronchitis every year, which probably adds up to about 3 or 4 months a year of really severe coughing, plus the daily cough.

I'm trying to treat this but unfortunately we still don't quite know the cause - I just had a biopsy on a thyroid mass that might be irritating my trachea... but it's been a huge mess and I won't go into the details except to say I'm working on it!

I am back with a new question. This grandma thing is very different this time around with all the info I can look up on the web! (It's O.K. G-mom..even though I worry, I am enjoying her pregnancy!).

Question: Has anyone had the CVS or amniosenthesis (sp?) tests, or does anyone know anyone who has? The are talking to my dd about doing one or both of these tests because of her age. She turned 35 last week.

Thoughts, ideas, opinions would be greatly appreciated. This worries me a bit!

Hi, I've been lurking awhile but this is my first post. I have a cystocele and a rectocele that I developed shortly after the birth of my second (and last) child, who is now 2. I've been told they are pretty mild, but not given a grade.

Can a bladder prolapse be just on one side? I have had to different diagnoses one being a bladder prolapse and the other a cyst. I have also been for a scan which hasn’t picked up either but they want me to go back to be re-scanned. The thing is the lump is on just one side of my vagina but falls down to the opening when I stand . I’m so confused now as to what to do, I’m only 26 and I’m scared to do anything in case I make it worse.

Long story short, our other pewter got really sick (virus etc) and so it fell out the window. No back in action with a new and improved one.

I will cut to the chase. I have read this site,the book and other information sites but I want to hear from real people...almost live.

I am 43. Have a 15 month old and a cys and a rec and am now again pregnant.
I have not lost all my previous baby weight and know I must be careful this time around not to get too heavy as that surely will affect things.

Hi, about a month ago I found that my vagina is prolapsed, after doing some research I'm pretty sure it's a rectocele. I haven't been to a doctor yet. I have ordered the Whole Woman book and I want to read it before going to the doctor, I don't know if the doctor will tell me that surgery is my only option and I want to be educated on other options before that happens.
