The tail and coccyx

Hey, I have just had an Aha! moment. Christine describes in Saving the Whole Woman the way quadrupeds curl their tail under the body if they come up high on their hind legs (but not if just on their haunches), as many do at times. I see our sheep getting up high on their hind legs to reach foliage on trees. Many animals, including dogs and cats do it when they need to, in play or in battle or in pursuit of food.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

To those who have already said hello to 2010, and those who are heading there, Happy happy new years!

Wishing everyone a year of wonderfulness, but especially one full of glorious postures, body loving eating, healing, organs that move in the direction we want them to, love, support, and sharing.

Thank you all for being so wonderful and supportive, and thank you as always Christine for your amazing wisdom and insights--where would we be without you?

Hope the passing into the new year is lovely for all, and see you on the other side ;-)

Kiki

thank you

thank you christine - the exercises are helping enormously. even more, i am so grateful for your encouragement and the sharing on this site of all the women young and older - like myself, age 57 and through the change. i do your routines, walk and sit in posture self-correcting each time i remember, rest when i can, and hike, belly dance and enjoy. i teach yoga to women, and have completely modified how i teach based on your work. your site has reduced my fear, and that is a great healing. bright blessings to all for a healthy, peaceful, joyful year. nan

symptoms getting worse

Hi, I'm new to WW, so I hope this post is in the right place.

A Bump in the road....or my belly :)

Debated writing a new post, but decided I would invite everyone along on our new journey! Just found out we are pregnant with #4 (very much a surprise!!!) and wanted to share some thoughts and ask some questions of women who have been along this road before (or several times!)

HOW TO TREAT COMPLETE UTERINE PROLAPSE

First of all, we need to consider what true procidentia is and how often it occurs. We have never heard of a case of it here at WW. Personally, on many occasions I have been able to push almost my entire uterus out of my vagina and hold it in my hand. I could never get the front edge of the fundus to come all the way down the vaginal canal, however, and the entire pushed-out prolapse protruded about three to four inches.

Rectocele 6 months after bladder surgery

I am beside myself...I had a surgery for a dropped bladder in March..the outcome was great...Now..I have rectocele...I had a partial hyst 4 years ago ..I am now 54...
I work out 4-5 times a week and love it...Having rectocele is really a problem for me..
Very discouraging..I am planning on ordering the DVD...Any comments?

rectocele questions

I now have a rectocele, I am thinking it is minor since it does not cause me too much trouble. The size varies considerably. Sometimes, I feel nothing, sometimes soft tissue (like an empty balloon) and when my bowels are full, I feel large lumps. I've been reading various posts concerning rectoceles and am a little confused. I'm mainly trying to take preventative steps to not make it worse. I worry because the tissure feels very thin.
