coping with furniture and carseats with prolapse

How do you all cope with the furniture and car seats available to you in life? I dont wish to "eat sitting on the floor" nor do I suspect my family members would be happy with such a change. Given that the house is furnished and comfortable for every one else in the house, is there a way of sitting that one can adopt that would provide some comfort and perhaps not exacerbate prolapse? Do you perch yourself forward on the seat near the edge, put your feet up on the rungs of chairs which allows you to have your stomach kind of pushed out in front? What about the car?

birthcontrol and prolapse

I been thinking my options after this baby, and wondering if anyone knows what form of birthcontrol seems to work best with a prolapse?

I have made it to my second trimester. Found out the bleeding I had was due to a small little bleed in behind the placenta, but seems to be ok now :) Prolapse has been good, but now acting up these last few days. I must of done some heavy lifting or something to aggervate it. Found out I was actually further along too. Baby due June 27th :)

Also, has any women on here had surgery to repair vaginal wall prolapse??

Operation

I am 56 and have a prolapsed bowel which is now causing me problems and the consultant I recently saw has told me that, in his words "I am a good candidate for an operation". I can't have a ring because the prolapse is too extensive. About 18 years ago I suffered paralysis from the waist down for a few months, which doctors told me, after extensive tests, was probably MS. However, this was never conclusive, because the picture was clouded with the fact that I had a lower back problem (sciatic nerve damage), during and after having my one and only baby.

First AId dvd

I have (I think) the first edition of the First Aid for Prolapse DVD, which is different than the you tube clip of some exercises. Is this clip from the second edition or something different all together?

quick 6 week update

can no longer see my cervix
hooray for nauli!!!!
cystocele is larger than it was pre-pg but no larger than when I first found it. rectocele's a bit more prominent but giving me no trouble.
no bulgy-feelings anywhere

now I've got to get out the gloves and boots, we had a snowstorm yesterday and have almost two feet of the stuff to play in.

hysterectomizing 3rd world women

Here's another article on "healing" the women of Nepal. What is striking about this entire movement is that never is mention made of cystocele/rectocele, the most common presentation of prolapse. Rather, these workers claim that hundreds of thousands of women are suffering from uterine prolapse. Something doesn't compute. A letter writing campaign is certainly in order!

Help! I've heard scary comments from pro-surgery people.....

(Note: This is not Dec. 31, 1969, as it says above. It's Dec. 19, 2009.)

I've had a period of adjustment right after my Mom passed away where I wasn't going to the gym on a regular basis....and I think it might have made my prolapse worse. I had kept my prolapse at bay (asymtomatic) for ten years with regular exercise and riding a stationary bike at the gym. :-)

I came across a negative comment the other day (not here) - and there are often a lot of negative comments from pro-surgery people, and if I have the facts, I can and will ignore these negative comments.

7 Month PP Update!

Hello lovely ladies!

It's been awhile since I've posted because I've been extremely busy being a mom and working full time. I wanted to post for any postpartum ladies who are freaking out the way I was at 6 weeks pp.
