pessaries

I'm a newbie and believe that this website is a godsend to me! I had inquired about surgery the day that I came across this wonderful site. Well, now I'm more determined than ever to not have it. A doctor told me I needed a hysterectomy b/c of uterine prolapse a year and a half ago. It didn't sit well with me and I began my search for any other way to deal with this and had just given up when I landed at WW. I don't remember how I even found it! It had to be God!!!

UK's Embarrassing Bodies TV programme

To all fellow UK residents, I need your help!

Channel 4's website on 'Embarrassing Bodies' has many posts from worried females wanting information and advice on vaginal prolapse. The medical 'experts' online advise doing pelvic floor exercises or surgery to 'fix' the problem.

Over the past few months I've tried countless times to post a reply, suggesting this wonderful website and Christine's You Tube clip. Seems the moderators are all men, hellbent on not letting my message appear online.

painful kegels?

so I've been doing some kegeling, for no real reason other than I know my mw will ask me if I've been doing them and will want to see how strong I can kegel. now I'm thinking that's not a good enough reason because they HURT. not while I'm doing it (and I'm kegeling sitting cross legged in decent posture) but afterwards I have an ache around the clitoral area. thinking its my old tear aching from the pulling.
does that make any sense to anyone?
in anycase, I'm not doing it anymore.

Food info in the upcoming DVD / Diet for the Wholewoman

Sadiedog, it appears that Diet for the Wholewoman (which contained a lot of recipes) is no longer available from the Wholewoman Store. You might be able to find a copy of it on EBay or one of the online bookshops secondhand.

However, with all the research Christine has been doing recently I feel that some of the foods and recipes in it will no longer be recommended by Christine, so it is not as good as it could be, but it still has some great food info in it, and some lovely recipes that I am sure we will still be able to adapt, once we have the new DVD.

on the road again

Hi Everybody,

I’m sitting in a Delta airplane seat (free Internet!) on my way to Seattle where I’ll interview someone (it’s a surprise!) tomorrow morning for the new documentary. The project has grown substantially from a diet dvd to something like The Whole Woman Healing Way - do you guys like that title?

getting this rectocele to improve!

Hello ladies,

so i woke up this morning finally feeling better and decided I AM GOING TO IMPROVE THIS RECTOCELE!
I've been pondering the whole need to press on on the side of the perineum / anal area, and figure it's probably everything sagging down and some of it goes just down rather than into the vagina. does that sound right? oddly it bulges the same on both sides (which isn't even that much) but bugs me more on one side... thinking about it more last night, I figure that can't be be good, though i probably notice it more as it puts pressure on one side = fissure alert!

Considering surgery....

Hi everyone I'm new here. I am a 34 yo mother living in Australia. I gave birth to my son 11 months ago and suffered prolapse. Mainly cystocele but some rectocele and my uterus has dropped a bit also. I was stunned that something like this regularly happens to women? How come I had never heard of it before? Why are we not informed about this stuff BEFORE we have kids?!

Thanksgiving

To all my friends who celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow, or who celebrate some sort of harvest festival at this time of the year, I hope you all have a wonderful day. We do have so much to give thanks for, even when we feel hard done by. Thank you to all of you who have blessed my life this year.

what do you make of this?

Posture practice

Is anyone in the Central Texas (I live SE of Austin) area who would be willing to get together to help me make sure that I am doing the posture right?
