HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Dear Members,

Last year at this time, Alemama led us in a very sweet candle lighting on New Year's Day. I would like to follow suit this year and ask everyone who would like to participate to light a long-burning candle or fire, and then offer a prayer here with us.

I'm going to light my 24-hour candle at midnight tomorrow and join in the offerings sometime Thursday.

Please help celebrate our victories, strengthen our hope, and join in our solidarity!

Love and joy,

Christine

new here: desperately need advice

i am 3 weeks postpartum with my 3rd child (natural birth, no tearing but big baby), and i'm pretty sure i have a mild cystocele, but that's actually not the main reason for my post. i've been having more and more trouble with BMs with every passing day -- painful, hard, even with splinting. i am not sure whether i have a rectocele, but i have to strain tremendously for every BM. i have tried everything possible diet-wise: tons of fresh/dried fruit, raw veggies, ground flax, water, cut out white flour/most wheat, etc. i finally went and got some colace today in hopes that it would help.

POP symptom questions

I've been browsing the forum for over a week now, and decided to post now to ask about a few things I haven't found information on. I'm 26 years old and have never been pregnant, but suspect that I've had a pelvic organ prolapse in the last couple of weeks (probably caused by the GI problem I've been wrestling with for a while now.) It will be some time before I can talk to a gynecologist, since I am uninsured and the hospital clinic can't see me for over a month (especially after the ER doctor decided it wasn't anything urgent), so the best thing I can do until then is research.

After menopause

Hi, haven't posted for ages and must confess I haven't been reading here much, but I always come back at some time!!

where to start? A newbie to this world... :(

Hi everyone,

Where to start? A newbie to this world... :(

Hi everyone,

Spasms & Cramps

Hi everyone,

All this talk about spasms and cramps has me wondering about what happens with me. Is it my prolapse and does anyone else have this happen??

trouble inserting pessary

I'm so embarrassed. I got my pessary last week and the dr. told me just to fold it and slip it in. After I left I thought she didn't tell me much about this. I have the round ring pessary for my rectocele. I have to lay down to insert it. So I know you fold it like a taco to insert. So if I'm lying down and have it folded does the part that is curved up like a taco (with the outer edge) go up toward the ceiling when inserting it. Isn't this right?
