Prolonged periods?

Haven't been here for awhile, but have a new "symptom." My youngest just turned 2 a couple weeks ago and my last two periods/cycles were different than normal. My period came back about a year ago and my cycles were averaging about 26 days with about 3-5 days of bleeding. Light to normal flow.

partial gastrectomy

Hi,
My problems got worse after having a partial gastectomy with a roux e y almost 5 years ago. So I am missing the first part of my small intestine. This was not for weight loss, but to remove a tumor, which was successfully done. I now have more of an obstruction than constipation going on--I think it might be rectocele, or what I've seen called "rectal descent", or even involving my sigmoid colon.

Nauli and Firebreathing

Hi,
I purchased First Aid for Prolapse which I assumed, based on its title, would teach First Aid measures step by step. The DVD was great for explaining the pelvis and posture and I enjoyed the exercises. I will probably do them everyday.
I was disappointed though that nauli and Firebreathing weren't explained! All the tips I got on this forum were to do nauli and Firebreathing. I had no idea what that was and was hoping the video would explain. The DVD helped show the movements, but I'm assuming breathing techniques play a large component in aiding prolapse.

reclaimed the floor

Hi I am new here. Have just finished reading the book. I have a uterine prolapse probably caused as a result of various birth traumas. I do not have any issues with my bladder and only very slight bowel problems. One of the main things that I have so far got from the book is that I am back to sitting on the floor cross legged just like I did when I was young (I am now in my 65th year). This probably is what kept me from only experiencing such a bad prolapse until now.

Vaginal Bulging after Surgery

Hello I am new here. I found this site searching for information and answers. I had a urethral sling placed about 41/2 years ago and have been suffering pain and intimacy disfunction ever since. I had no type of prolapse but stress incontinence. I recently had part of the sling removed and now I have something bulging from the vagina. I have asked surgeon about it and he says I may have a prolapse. He did not elaborate on what type. He did not tell me this was a risk in the consent I signed and I am now very scared.

The video is very affordable - only 19.97 - so please click the Store link above and it's right there on the first page.

Best wishes for your health!

Is this pelvic surgery?

I've been dealing with urinary incontinence and pt and other methods haven't been working. So I've been searching for non-surgical treatment methods. I came across Urethral Bulking as a treatment method for urinary incontinence: http://www.urogyncentersf.com/treatment-care/gynecological-care/minimall...

Does this count as surgery?

Sitting

Hi everyone,
New to the forum. I just found out I have a prolapse of the bladder. I'm feeling discomfort while sitting and will be working to see if things can be improved without surgery. Does anyone recommend a specific cushion to sit on that will alleviate some of the pressure and discomfort.
Thanks so much!

Just found out my mom may have had prolapse

So my mom told me that after she had me, (I'm a second child), that when her periods came back a few months postpartum she had a pressure feeling. She said it felt like there was an orange in her vagina when she was menstruating, but it went away when her period was done. She saw her gyno (this would be back in the 80s) and he prescribed her a pill to take only when she had her period. She took it for a few months, then stopped taking it and eventually her symptoms went away.
