Support garments

Forum:

This is a shot in the dark, but I am 62 years old, have an internal rectal prolapse (intussesception) and other multiple prolapses and have not seen my grandchildren for two years because of this. I want to visit them for a couple weeks. I have found a way to have successful, but painful bowel movements, so that will work come hell or high water. Are there supportive garments that ease the symptoms of profound prolapse? If not so be it. Thank you.

Yoga practice

Forum:

Hi everyone I'm very new been reading for a while and have so much emotion. I'm 41 and 8 weeks postpartum on my 4th baby. I practice a lot of yoga and also teach pregnancy yoga. I have a rectocele diagnosed by my physio she didn't grade it but by my own research I feel it's a grade 2. I'm not having any major symptoms aware of it at times and feel like I have lots air in my vagina.

First time pessary

I'm 38 years old, had 4 very large baby's and now have a grade 3 cystocele and grade 1 rectocele. 3 days ago I saw a gynaecologist for the first time and had a pessary ring inserted. Since then it has relieved much of the pain but I do occasionally feel weird and have occasional twinges. I'm not in pain but sometimes it does feel uncomfortable (but not painful). At one point I checked my pessary and it felt quite low - although I don't really know how low is too low - it hasnt fallen out. Is this all normal?

Puborectalis

I have been working with this rectocele for a while now, and trying all sorts of fun things with my diet. I am very very regular. I have a bm within 1 hour of waking up. I usually feel good after this morning run. What is happening in the afternoon is a bm after lunch, but it's very thin and comes out in small pieces...but consistency good. I wonder if I have a muscle issue. I am freaked out when I have a bm because I am scared something bad will happen. Are there any tips or tricks to relaxing this muscle?

Prolapse worse after endometrial biopsy

Hello everyone ,

I'm really hoping somebody can give me some much needed advice and information as I'm feeling very low about the worsening of my prolapse recently after an endometrial biopsy last week and have become unable to walk very far without extreme pain and pressure.

I'm a 46 year old woman who was diagnosed with a grade 3/4 prolapse of the uterus and bladder in June this year . I had some pretty severe bladder frequency and pressure from the prolapse which after walking any significant distance would really bulge uncomfortably down and out .

Thyroid function and prolapse symptoms

Hello! Was wondering if anyone has insight on the function of thyroid hormone levels and the impact on prolapse symptoms? I was diagnosed with post-partum thyroiditis...in addition to prolapse, yay me... I am no in the hypothyroid phase of the thyroiditis and have noticed my bulging seems worse. It honestly wasn't very noticeable during my hyperthyroid phase. I've been trying to focus on Whole Woman posture but still feel I notice the bulge a bit more and it seems to correlate with when my thyroid went from hyper to hypo. Any thoughts?

One year after joining WW - my status report

It was a little over one year ago that I found Whole Woman website. I feel so blessed!
It gave me the knowledge and ability to understand what is POP, diagnose my own symptom. I am so disappointed at the doctors, and don’t trust them anymore!
It gave me the resources: the forum to share experiences and knowledge with other women. I ordered and read the book ‘Saving the Whole Woman’. I read and re-read some chapters to remind myself.

Pelvic Stress Affecting Hormone Levels

Hi,

I have a problem with my pelvic area which has been causing pretty serious hardship in my life for quite some time. Im posting here because I have asked for opinions and advice everywhere I could think of and either people cant help me or think I am making it up.

To start off, I am not a woman, and if there are rules against men posting in order to make talking about female problems more comfortable I will understand if this post gets deleted... It's just I really don't know where else I can ask for help at this point.

Pessary and Whole Woman

Hello all.

have my uterus and ovaries but not tubes

I'm so glad to have found this website and forum last night when I was pretty scared after coming home yesterday afternoon from what I thought would be a not too unusual appointment with a gynecologist who treats menopause (I'm almost at one year without periods -56) but due to endometriosis, wanted to talk to this new dr about hormones and have an annual exam as I was pretty past due.
