Success! My One Year Anniversary- Stage 2 Cystocele- Words of Wisdom for Newbies

Thank you Christine and all the wonderfully helpful women on this forum with all my heart. I wish I'd written sooner and while in the midst of the healing process. I'll try and recount what helped me. For sure it is a process but I want to say to all the women in the newly diagnosed terror stage, and oh my I was so very frightened, that there is definitely hope for a normal life again! At age 43 last Sept. I had a stage 2 cystocele. Couldn't walk very well, had pain and urgency, trouble with defecation, etc. and now I'm back to nearly normal.

pop& career as fitness instructor

Forum:

I always had the dream of becoming a fitness instructor (pilates or yoga) and finally have the opportunity to realize that dream. After having been diagnosed with POP I'm very apprehensive though about exercising since i'm afraid some exercises could make it worse.
Does anybody have any insight for me what is more pelvic floor friendly yoga, pilates, aerobics, dance and how i can identify dangerous exercises that put the pelvic floor at risk?
thank you very much!

Difference between Hemorrhoids and Rectum Prolapse (Rectocele?)

I think I have both, though not serious, but I cannot tell the difference.
When I am taking a shower and feel something sticking out of my rectum, is that rectum prolapse or hemorrhoid? I can push it back in but it will come back out later. It is annoying and the condition comes and goes. I have no clue what causes it come and/or go away. It does not hurt or itch. Been there for years.

What exercise is most important for POP?

Hi,
I can't seem to get to all the exercise videos, so I need to know what is best to do for my POP in the little time I have each day.

I realize the posture is most important and I remind myself all day long.

But for exercise that is best, is it the fire-breathing? If so, then are the best positions for doing it the sitting cross-legged one and the one on hands and knees?

Thanks for any guidance you can give me!

C section

Forum:

Hi sorry I don't really know where to post this...just a simple question really, whether women who have had a c section can benefit from the whole woman posture in the same way? Can the organs move forward in the same way I mean? I'm 8 months post c section and not seeing much improvement. But I have been doing the posture for 4 years (had 3 babies in that time) I guess I'm just worried the c section is preventing the posture from working in the same way. Any help or insights is much appreciated x

My friend has some lower back issues

Exercising

First off, I'd like to say I love this forum. I have started some exercises and stopped holding in my stomach, putting my ears over my shoulders, and maintaining curve in lower back! It feels like it is helping me. I have rectecele.

I'd like to know if jogging and weight lifting (nothing crazy) is good for maintaining healthy pelvic floor.

Thanks,
