Mesh inserts - sad news from Aus and the UK

Quite aside from the ludicrous advice of the doctors, how sad is it that so many women are having surgery that causes so many complications :-( I'm not convinced the mesh itself was faulty, rather than the procedure itself.

Femoral Hernia

My son was just diagnosed with femoral hernia, I'm not sure of what type, and is offered a surgery. He is 18, and needed a surgery for inguinal hernia when he was about 9 years old. I wonder if it can be a postural issue and will appreciate learning from your wisdom. My own old diastasis recti improves a lot with the posture and some whole woman exercises. Thank you so much!

Diastasis Recti Exercise

Forum:

Hello! Thanks for adding me. I came into contact with the Saving the Whole Woman book through a quest for information on healing my diastasis recti. I am very glad for the preventative knowledge I gained about prolapse, and I don't want to be doing any exercises that would put me at risk for it.

The other day I came across a description of an exercise that apparently helped 100% of the women in the trial study to heal their diastasis recti. My question is whether it agrees with Whole Woman principles and is safe to do. It sounded similar to the fire breathing I thought.

Would like to connect with post hysto women

Hi, i would really like to hear from other post hysto women. How you are managing your prolapse? Have you had to make changes in your jobs or lifestyle? If it was a long time ago since your hysto, have things stabilised or got worse? would the belt be of use to a post hysto women?

Im really finding this work extremely helpful but still feel quite alone in this. Would really like to connect with some other women in my position.

Im 50 mum of three, yoga teacher/cleaner/artist. Sometimes i feel really good and when its more prominent it can literally drag me down.

My sister scheduled a hysterectomy

Wondering how Christinine and her faithful followers would advise me in the following situation. My dear sister (age 62) has scheduled an appointment with a urogynecologist to have a vaginal hysterectomy performed with a possible bladder sling in October. She says it's necessary because of a cystocele and problems she has with voiding. As a believer in Christines research and work in this area, I hate to see my sister go this route. The matter is even more complicated because my sister is married to a gynecologist.

Posture clarification

I am working on my posture constantly and seeing progress. It seems like it goes slow as I get better as it goes and finally have a curve. My question is about weight on the feet. I am finding I place my weight almost entirely in the heel. With the ww posture, where do we place our weight! Evenly, more toward the balls of the feet, or at the heel? I'm finding leaning more towards the balls of my feet feels better but my posture is far from perfect and I want to make sure I am doing this correctly.

Cystocele question

I was recently diagnosed with a mid to moderate grade bladder cystocele. To mark things more complicated, I have Interstitial Cystitis. On top of that I had a very painful UTI. My gyn said that I should purchase the V2 Supporter, which I did. I'm just wondering if I am doing more harm using it. I want my life back. Any ideas? Thank you! I've been post menopausal for a number of years.

Pregnant and Urinary Retention

Hello, I am new here, I've been reading for a couple days. I'm kind of desperate for advice. I am 10 weeks pregnang with a happy surprise baby #4, we had tried for more children years ago but fertility treatments did not work so we moved on. Our youngest is 9 and we found out a few weeks ago we are expecting! I have 3 kids- 15, 13, and 9- all natural vaginal births, some tearing with #1. Diagnosed with endometriosis (one laparacopic surgery for pain management and ovarian obstruction) as well as mild pcos, I've been told I have a tipped uterus.

Rectocele

Hi ...not sure if I am placing this in the right area. I am new to this site; recently diagnosed as having a small Rectocele, size of a half small grape. My question is will this rectocele remain small if I look after it by maintaining good bowel habits; and continue to use my bio-identical Estriol estrogen. Will doing the yoga & pilates exercises help prevent any other organ prolapse?

New kegel posture

"Sit comfortably on the floor. This can be done in a chair as well, but sitting crosslegged on the floor is far more beneficial. When the hips are externally rotated, the belly and pelvis (and therefore pelvic organs) can rotate into their most forward positions.
