Needing Encouragement

I'm still new to site and awaiting the book in the mail. I've already posted once, but feeling I need some support now. I usually have this way of phrasing things to minimize what I'm going through, but I'm actually really sad and a little scared. Before my two children I was very active physically. Now my younger girl is almost three. I've had a cystocele at least since she was 4 months, but was misdiagnosed for it when I went in. So I've been putting up with going to the bathroom constantly for almost three years, frequent leakage and occasional all out accidents. I just found out a few weeks ago that I have a uterine prolapse, and then I did some research and finally put it all together myself (with lots of help from this site) on what has been going on for almost three years!

Outside of liposuction, what other offer can be offered to us?!

I know – and always knew despite being more super busy than lazy – that exercise, food choices, supplements, and mostly – AND TAKING CARE OF YOUR BODY SHOULD ALWAYS BE NUMBER 1 IN YOUR LIFE!! I personally love dancing, go to the gym for aerobics which is very challenging and fun – even though I seem to not have lost a damn pound!!! I also really love salads, believe in holistic health, and a healthy lifestyle over surgery, needles, and addictive drugs which cause just as many side effects as it would cure.

I have this really huge gut and whenever I do lose the 3 oz of fat, it NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, comes from my annoying equator of a gut!  I understand that prolepse will create a pouch and you mentioned that traditional sit-ups and leg lift crunches where you lift your legs in the air to strengthen your lower abdomen is not really that good for us.

what to do?

I have a question for you all- I know that my prolapse situation would never have happened if I had not had 3 babies in 3 years- and had 3 massive tears each time. I am very healthy- have always been - I don't and have never stood tail tucked under and I never in my life have strained to have a B.M.- anyway-
My sister has a friend with a four month old baby(induction- episiotomy-lots of pushing) - and they are trying for another one-(she stopped breast feeding so she could get her cycle back) she wants them to be 12-15 months apart. So my sister mentioned to her that she may want to reconsider - had she ever heard of prolapse-

Sustainable and organic food

Hi everyone,

Since I do a lot of organic living coaching, I thought I would post a few tips on going green this spring. Now is the time to find a farm or start your own garden.
1. Make a commitment to learn about alternatives and things organic that would enrich your life.(You've already made a start here just by finding the WholeWoman site).
2. Make a long term plan so you can take baby steps in your goal for a healthier body not only for you, but your family as well.
3. Make a list of things organic you would like to buy. The next time you go to the store, buy at least one organic product. I buy my flours, cornmeal, nuts and dried fruit in bulk form at Whole Foods. Organic Flour is 59 cents a pound, cornmeal is 48 cents.

New to group with questions

I'm new to the group. I'm waiting to get the book in the mail, and feeling grateful for finding this site. I have some questions before I even start the new postural routines. The first is I have moderate scoliosis on top of urinary incontinence and uterine prolapse. How might this effect my ability to do the postural work? I know I don't stand right because of the scoliosis, but I do my best. Second, I've had a lordotic lower back (swayback) as long as I can remember. I know that the posture requires a curve in the lower back, but what if the curve is exagerated like mine. Is my prognosis worse because of my confounding conditions? Thanks for the input.

hey reka:

i just wanted to see how you were doing. i feel as though i got your thread derailed and i am so so sorry about that so i just wanted to see how things were going for you over the past couple of days.

it sounded like you were feeling your rectocele had gotten worse. is that still the issue? again, along with the fact that you have a new baby, i'm just wondering if constipation is at all an issue for you. christine addresses the issue of the gut alot and i found taking many of her suggestions for diet changes -- which led to a huge elimination shift -- really helpful.

anyways, just thinking about you and looking forward to hearing how you are.

uh oh...just took a fall on my tush on the ice...

so i just went down on my butt. not my coxyx at all, but one cheek. plenty of padding there, but, well, i'm panicked about the prolapses. do we think a fall like that can make things worse? damn it. not sure what to do. definately nothing pulled or broken...just worrying about the lower pieces.

was going to go to the gym. not sure what to do now.

any thoughts? i'm feeling a little freaked out here.

thanks all.

Why is it getting worse???

I am devastated. I started using the posture a week ago and I kind of thought: 'that is it, from now on it won't get worse'. But as of this morning the posterior wall of my vagina is sagging! Until now it was just slightly bulging but now it descended somewhat. I am terrified! I have not done anything special to cause this (that I can think of). I am not constipated and have not been straining at all...

I have been doing the first aid for rectocele for the past few days as I felt something playing up there. What else can I do??? Hopefully the exercises in the book will help when I receive it.

Surprising Consultant Appt...

Hi All,

I wanted to share my surprising appt with the urogyneocologist, following my prolapses a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately he confirmed what I knew...moderate to severe cystocele and rectocele and mild uterine prolapse (i was hoping for better news that wasn't true, but hey...)

Thus I was expecting to hear surgery surgery surgery.

However he said that :

1. He wouldn't assess me again until at least one year, and if I was still breastfeeding at that point then not until after I'd stopped, as he would expect improvement over the next year and also once I stop feeding (but that duration of feeding makes no difference)

DOES INSERTING PLAIN YOGURT CURE YEAST INFECTION?

Does inserting plain yogurt cure yeast infection?

Hello and long time no hear. I’ve been super busy trying to finish my book too (http://www.iuniverse.com/bookstore/book_detail.asp?isbn=0-595-41637-3). I am eager to read Christine’s new/revised book I guess soon to be printed as well. Well as mentioned in my book, I am one of the extreme 0.05% of females who get a prolapsed without ever having kids. In fact, I am currently celibate – not by choice – awaiting this seemingly never arriving help mate for me.

Well I always seem to be very wet down there compliments of my ?cervix sticking out of my vagina. I also know I have Candida and I am planning to get several colonic treatments to spew the 20+ years of impacted poop out of my colon – and hopefully rid this annoying Candida. With that said, I have developed this REALLY ANNYONG yeast infection. I think I may know the cause however. My vulva would itch on and off a lot since my prolapsed seemingly gotten worse and I started to leak urine. I assume because it’s now super moist and dark down there.
