rectocele and cystocele surgeries

I'm currently having problems in this area. Please if anyone has any input, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so very much.

Exercise DVD

Hi Christine,

I can't seem to find any info on ordering this. What is available? Does the dvd show the Firebreathing? I would really like to see it b/c I don't think I am doing it correctly.

Thanks!

Checking in

Hi Everyone,

I've missed you all! I had to take a computer break. Somehow, the time on the computer was draining needed energy which needs to be channeled elsewhere. Also, I found I was getting too focused on thinking of my condition pathologically.

I wanted to check in.

First, I'm so thrilled to hear, granolamom, that you are pregnant!!! YAHOO!! Wow, that made my day when I checked in. I secretly have baby #4 cravings myself. Don't know for us, but so glad for you!! So sorry you are having morning sickness. Check out "Morningwell" on google. They have an audio cd (binural beat technology) that really helped me, and I had 9 mos of ms with all three kids.

periods and exercise

Hello! I've searched the forums, and can't find an answer for this, so here goes: In the Firebreathing post, as well as in the First Aid for Prolapse video, there is the caution of "do not do these exercises while pregnant or menstruating." I'm not concerned at this time about the pregnancy part, but am very curious as to why they shouldn't be done while menstruating. I'm having my first period since prolapse, and just wondering if I should do nothing with the exception of walking until it's gone. The exercises seem gentle to me, and I had always found those types of exercise to be helpful in releiving monthly discomforts - now I'm not sure what to do.

2 and 1/2 years later still doing great!

I haven't had time to visit the forum for quite awhile but I'm glad to see it's going stronger than ever. I am, too. :-) I just wanted to leave some encouraging words for others.

I just turned 48 and had what I believe to be a global prolapse (cystocele, rectocele and uterine prolapse) happen all at once, within about a month or so around March of 2004. Thank goodness I found Christine's book and website!! I started using the posture immediately and I really believe it helped stop the progress of my prolapse. Every once in awhile I get tired and think the unthinkable (surgery) for about a minute, then I review some of her materials or just think about my own success and I know I'll never go that route. I have yet to mention my condition to a doctor.

Something went wrong...

I meant to post this yesterday, but just as I clicked send my connection died:

---------------------
I was just wondering if someone could point me in the direction of a forum where a medical professional answers questions? You see my Mother recently had a Sacrocolpopexy 6 months after having a partial hystorectomy (the womb), and today she went for her first after care checkup since the operation. The doctor said everything was fine (this wasn't the doctor who did her surgery, but one of the doctors on his medical team) and that she'd healed well.

However while the doctor was doing her examination she found a couple of stitches that hadn't dissolved, said it was a bit strange and removed them. While doing this she was a bit rough which caused my Mother to spot and feel a release of pressure from inside. A few hours later my Mother felt that 'pulling down' feeling, something she hadn't felt since before the operation. She then checked herself only to realise that a small ball of flesh was hanging down again.

Difficulty with sitting posture

Hello everyone. Since two weeks ago, when I developed a rectocele, I've been learning about and working at improving my circumstances. Unfortuately, I've since also developed what I think must be a cystocele, so instead of seeing improvements right away, there's been more of a setback. Still, I'm interested in avoiding surgery and trying desperately to at least get my body back inside of me and under control.

I now have both Christine's book and video, and have been doing the posture as much as I possibly can. My biggest problem seems to be sitting, which is especially difficult in the car, at the computer, and at church.

Vaginal Dryness

I've had prolapse for a number of years, still have problems with vaginal dryness, I used premarin cream for 7 months (worked great). I developed colon cancer, am now in remission and do not want to use estrogen again, looking on this forum, I don't see many answers on this issue. The one lady was using vitamin E. But I don't know if she used it vaginally or just on the outside. I will try a trip to the health food store today and a search on google. If anyone knows a good cream let me know. I don't itch, just plain dry, I'm 61 years old, some of it is my age I'm sure.

New to this site, severe uterine prolapse

Hi everyone, I am glad to have found this site. I am 27 years old and gave birth to my 3rd son in under 4 years this past April. My first baby was 9 lbs. 5 oz. and the next two were 7 lbs. I suffer from severe uterine prolapse and don't know what I should do about it. My OB-GYN said I will need a hysterectomy but I want to avoid that at all costs. I would also like one more baby within a couple of years but am really afraid of doing further damage to my body. I am most uncomfortable during my period. It makes me really nervous that I can see my insides hanging out of my body! Any advice would be appreciated.

Yoga Poses for cystocele

Would like information on yoga poses to help with fallen bladder. Have just been diagnosed and want to do something, besides surgery, before problem gets worse.
Thanks, unomaw
